  1. What's your point you muppet. He is the chief exec, not an elected councillor.
  2. If churches preach that homosexuality is wrong then they can't marry gay couples. Personally, I see myself as Christian but I don't like any churches, and don't see why I should attend to call myself a Christian. It's how you live your life that matters. The Christian churches and their interpretatations of Christianity, and their practices, are hypocritical. I don't remember reading that Jesus in the bible wanted us to go to church. The churches sprouted up long after he died, and are nothing more than businesses nowadays. A river was good enough for John the Baptist, churches want a pound of flesh and your attendance for loads of bullsh*t classes for the same service.
  3. It seems that some posters here think that supporting Cortese and appreciating Lawrie are mutually exclusive. Childish. He was our finest manager, end of.
  4. You've got f*ck all you sarcastic idiot. Read the posts again in the context they were written.
  5. I only mentioned Shilts when someone tried to excuse Davis' errors by saying that Shilts made them too. I am saying that it's time to drop Davis. What's wrong with that?
  6. He wasn't exactly blameless for the 2nd goal. Peter Shilton is possibly the finest keeper this country has ever produced. He won 125 caps in an era in which English keepers were among the best in the world. He saw off competition from greats such as Banks, Clemence, Corrigan, Rimmer, Parkes and Bailey. He was a major reason why Forest won 2 league championships and 2 European Cups. He didn't make many mistakes. That was one of the reasons he was so good. Have a good think and you won't recall many more mistakes from him. Davis' errors are occurring too frequently and costing us goals.
  7. There you go. 4 mistakes in a long illustrious career. Davis has made more this season alone.
  8. I would think even the ethnic minorities think political correctness has gone way too far. Some people have no sense of humour.
  9. Shilton, are you sure? He made less mistakes in a 25 year career than Davis makes in a season. And it was a 25 year career at the top level of the game.
  10. What an absolute load of sh*t. It strikes me that your mate and his wife are both putting their careers in front of their family. Isn't one massive salary enough to live on? And you're trying to extract sympathy from us because his chosen profession is the one that has taken this country to the brink of abyss, and will take a generation to put right. Leave it out. And don't forget, banks have put a lot of people and businesses in the poor house, as well as creating wealth. Short selling and other unscrupulous deals to make themselves rich at the expense of anyone who gets in their way. Not everything they do benefits the economy, and by the way, I know plenty of people from council estates who have done extremely well for themselves. You make it sound like your mate is the only one. I still think you're tromboning him though.
  11. Are you sucking your mate off?
  12. I've just watched the goals from the Peterborough game again. Davis went down like a sack of potatoes for the first goal where he was beaten at the near post. The second goal was a loopy sort of cross from a deep position that he should have been challenging for, no question in my book. The Exeter goal was a massive error in judgement. No matter what saves he makes after these mistakes, he has cost us goals and points. I don't really see him making saves that are beyond a lot of pro keepers. I have robustly defended him on more than one occasion in the past, but I can't anymore.
  13. It's good for me to see both sides of the argument, and you make some decent points. Can you explain whether this may cost jobs in the UK?
  14. I'm with you, but Cech is a bottle job and does not dominate his area. Davis is making too many mistakes and should be dropped.
  15. These innuendos that the Ex-Saints are at it are bang out of order and sully the reputations of decent people past and present who have given up their time for decent causes.
  16. Is LLS on the dole. I only ask because as a businessman he must make less than a paperboy. Clueless, hilarious.
  17. He doesn't look the player we signed last season though. I remember his debut, he dominated their defence and looked a real handful. Something is definitely missing from his game at the moment. I'm hoping Lallana's return will spur him on a bit.
  18. To be fair I mentioned it a few pages ago. Sorry to p*ss on your parade. I'm going to bed now.
  19. The ex-Saints have been going for years, and the late Steve Beaney and others have given up a lot of valuable time to raise money. For the club to say they can't use the badge, if true, is an absolute disgrace and very disrespectful. As for the 'who are the dark forces' argument, I couldn't give a toss. The club is in a decent position, and if multi-millionaire Matt Le Tissier has to wait 10 days for tickets, then I'm sorry but I won't be losing any sleep over it. I suppose Tony Lynham and Mickey Fialka would have looked after him though, only they didn't have a pot to **** in.
  20. The Ex-Saints do a lot of charity work, and have done for a number of years. They should be supported by the club.
  21. Cech was at fault because he came off his line and then stopped, fatal for a keeper. Once you decide to go you have to be 100% committed and go though anyone in your way. Cech has been a bottler ever since his head injury. Davis stayed on his line and was caught a little flat-footed. Of course he should have come, even he is taller than most forwards when he's got his arms up. Even if he missed he might have got a foul, or at the very least, put the forward off.
  22. It was nice watching a game without having to listen to the lecherous jock's bullsh*t ramblings. Ben Shepherd is favourite for Hairy Keys job.
  23. Adkins did seem to speak for a long time about him after the game. I like Boyd as well, decent player.
  24. Saves don't cancel out errors in my book. Keepers are there to make saves.
  25. I'm an ex keeper as well, and for me Davis is making too many mistakes now. Would definitely give Bart a run now, behind a settled back four. Seaborne was poor for the first, but it was plain for anyone who has played in goal, that Davis was at fault for not covering his near post. I would have liked to have seen him come for the cross as well. No reason why he couldn't have got it if he arced his movement and started early enough with 100% commitment. I'm sure he could have got something on it, instead of trying to stop it on the line on his heels. He nearly got tackled with the ball at his feet in the first half as well. I'm sure Adkins, being an ex-keeper is on top of this.
