Because I'm passionate about something?
Because I'm not a 'robot' and don't fit the traditional stereotype of a dowdy teacher who spends their entire time marking etc?
Because I don't want my children (when I have them) to grow up in a far right Britain?
Because I have 'normal' weekends of football and pubs?
Regardless of what you think Ponty, being a member of UAF does not conflict with my job. I can happily employ all government initiatives such as 'Every Child Matters' whereas those teachers who are members of the BNP (and there are some who have been recently 'outed') obviously cannot. Plus, as I've already posted, I never let my political views cloud my teaching as that would be irresponsible to the pupils. I give equal weight to the dangers of Communism and Fascism and would never ever dream of forcing my opinions or views on pupils...I'm a professional, the clue is in the name.
