Or Dennis Rofe ?
-
Two relegations in two seasons. Don't think he'd bring a "winning mentality" with him, and we've got enough GK who seem to lack confidence already. Mind you Redmond had two to his name when we signed him although spread over three or four years.
-
Surprising as his career never really took off as expected. Had forgotten his name until Sideways Jim's post. Remember there had been a bit of a clamour to sign him as 'the next big thing' a few years ago and we were linked in the media with about three or four others from Dundee Utd's youth team at the time. (As we have been again recently).
-
Where has he coached since retiring ? Don't recall hearing anything of him.
-
Anyone else spot an obvious flaw in this theory ?
-
For Manchester City, read Bayern, Lazio( tall Dutch CB, must be good, we've just sold one of those) etc. Les fell for it like a good 'un didn't he ?
-
Think we did under Koeman.
-
Not looking to defend the GK's we have but you have to admit the defence in front of them is fragile, and without defensive MF it's all a bit timid and feeble.
-
Who ousted Maik Taylor, who again would be an improvement on the current batch. Mind you, Dave Beasant had his critics in his early days with us and was considered a bit of a liability at times.
-
Thought he'd moved on to spreading his wisdom to the outfield players, which in itself might be a part of the wider problem. Didn't we bring another GK coach to take on that role, Sparks ? Agree that we should be trawling Spain, Italy and Germany for a replacement.
-
Better of the two more recently perhaps but not convinced that I'd want to rely on him over a season. This is based on his time with us overall rather than the last few weeks.
-
Accept the point you're making but Ings has probably built up a few more "credits" in his time with us in most peoples eyes to allow him some slack.
-
Which sums up the dreadful predicament we're in then.
-
Both shit ! Not really - both are capable of major clusterfucks, flapping at crosses, feeble dives, or in FF case just being rooted to the spot or falling like timber after the ball has already nestled in the goal. Neither can be trusted for a long run in the side. Get rid !!
-
I can't remember how many seasons it is now, probably ever since Koeman left, that I'm left to conclude - hope most of these cunts aren't in a Saints shirt again.
-
Just read on the BBC site: Redmond is at least consistent. Must be a reworking of the old Lallana/Tadic song there
-
Certainly interesting, and worth throwing into the mix on forum, but lets not get our hopes up.
-
Saints fans did a good job at West Ham in 1994 as I recall.

Will Daniel Farquhar-Ings sign a new contact if he's forced to change his name by deed poll ?

Can't stand Vardy after his needless crocking of VVD ahead of the the LC Final, and Rodgers still grates after 2014 although that is wearing thin now. Apart from that don't mind them but am quite envious especially of the sound and ambitious owners they've got. Similar size club although they have pulled ahead of us in the transfer market and ambition. Complete contrast to us under Gao. Thought the same, although them having a GK to pull off two outstanding saves isn't something I'd want to rely on. McCarthy perhaps might have got down to the header, but FF would have been buggered if he couldn't try blocking them with his ankles.

We've no idea how he sees himself (get that in before MLG does), but suspect RH will want to sign players to play where he sees them rather than pandering to their wishes. This appeared the case with Maitland-Niles who wanted a MF role as opposed to MF/RB etc. Personally I don't think either have done enough at Fulham or WBA to suggest they'd offer us anything. If we're looking at a player leaving Chelsea, or on loan with an option, Gallagher seems to have come out of his time at WBA with his reputation improved and doubt he'll get much game time at Chelsea. But also worth remembering Betrand had a poor season at Villa before joining us so if any of them end up at St Mary's we'll give them at least twenty minutes of their first match to win us over before moaning about wasted opportunities and money down the drain (again).
-
You wouldn't have been able to speak to him in that time, ouija board or seance aside perhaps.
-
Hope you're right and it works out well but without wishing to pour scorn on your post, sure it was posted in good faith, but there seem a few too many links in that chain to get excited about it.

He died 30years ago. Trouble now that you've revealed that though I will read your posts in a different light, you must have been his inspiration for 'Fred Scuttle'.
