As well as going for managers with Chelsea connections, Spurs have also put aside any local pride and recruited managers with Arsenal connections in the past. In the 70’s there were a few raised eyebrows when they went for Terry Neill (former Arsenal captain who was then managing Hull). Highly amusing when he left after a year or so to go to manage Arsenal. More recently George Graham.
