I thought there had a been a promise of a fans forum or similar when Kruegar gave an interview with Adam Blackmore at the end of the season. If so, then pre-season would be the ideal time. These used to be a regular pre-season ritual, I even remember Branfoot when manager facing the fans, and despite the grief he faced so did Lowe.

At the end of last season I was hoping to see the back of many of them frankly, but that was not going to happen. Tadic redeemed himself with his efforts after Hughes arrived, McCarthy was of course outstanding, and Yoshida showed commitment. After that it was a pretty poor effort from most. I did expect Cedric and Bertrand to leave.In some ways a shame if they had because they have the talent, but I hope we don't see another season of them just going through the motions.

We learnt plenty last season actually. Have Les, Wilson, and to a lesser extent Hughes and his coaching staff acted on it though, is a different question.

We were linked with Zakaria at one stage before he left Switzerland. Just as well the Black Box didn't bring him in though, we'd have coached him to being crap.

Four years ago after the WC in Brazil Origi was considered a sensational prospect. Not sure what has happened to him since. Then again, four years ago Luke Shaw was probably considered nailed on to be England's LB for the next decade.

Something doesn't stack up about our interest in him. Perhaps he wasn't our preferred option although initial rumblings pointed that way. Perhaps 'Boro thought they could exreact some more of the VD cash frpm us by taking a stance and we walked away.

Bit unfair to lump Mark Dennis into that list. Like everyone he might have a bad game occasionally - I've seen Channon and MLT look completety out of sorts - but he was more often than not fully committed. Agree with you though about Gallagher and Targett being given the opportunity.

Providing we get the replacement and striker agreed before letting Lemina depart. Otherwise we lose one of our most creative threats whilst leaving Les & Ross to scurry around finding/securing the deals over the next two weeks.

Orange and lime green stripes, there's a thought. Possibly on a par with Bristol City's purple and lime green effort a couple of season's ago. Tend to agree with you that the third kit does give an opportunity to try something different, possibly a shirt that will sell as a 'beach' or summer shirt, if marketed and released in good time, rather than for matches where it might only appear once or twice. Arsenal for example today wore a 'mint green' kit, unlikely to feature much in matches but a step away from their traditional kits.

I suspect the only reason FF is still here is that no one will take him off our hands, even on a loan with heavily subsidised wages.
