  1. Solent yesterday said 2,000. So that was really 1,000, the balance made up of carers, probation officers, youth support workers etc...
  2. Inclined to agree with you, that the expectation of their fans and timing may suit us , providing we don't concede in the first ten minutes and fall apart of course. They probably will have the semi-final in the back of their minds as well. I'd settle for a point, but we should be capable of all three. Nothing against Sunderland as a club, but it'll be good to beat any team managed by Gus the Dirty Dago cheat, so perhaps it'll be c'mon Dagenham & Lambert next Saturday. Yes, that will keep it interesting. The debate of 8th, 9th or 10th is a pretty meaningless one. Once we get to 40 points, if we are out of the cup then at that stage, its virtually preparing for next season already, unless we get back in contention for the Europa League, which at the moment seems unlikely and no one really wants anyway.
  3. MP said yesterday, Yeovil or Arsenal are more likely targets for him.
  4. Yes it will be right up there with 1976,all the promotions ,1984 etc to tell the grandchildren about. Just hope we are not distracted from this quest by needless FA Cup progress...
  5. Adrian Chiles hasn't been so upset publicly since Christine Bleakley rejected his todger for that of Frank Lampard.
  6. Final whistle. We can now dream... of staying 9th for a couple more weeks - which we'd have accepted in August.
  7. Howard Webb living up to his standard of being a grade A c^nt.
  8. lucky nipples are allowed surely ?
  9. Guly coming on. Come on GDP get the goal your service deserves.
  10. Boruc atones with a great save !
  11. Just heard Adam Blackmore describing something as a "Boruc moment". Who says we don't need another GK option ?
  12. influenced our choice of away kit in my mind.
  13. same speech impediment as me ?
  14. Lallllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! That'll do.
  15. By bringing in loans , is that what we want ? And by comparison, whats their injury list like ? Better squad - loans and all - perhaps.
  16. Better option going forward, but one less midfielder to make the tackles and bring the ball out.
  17. I don't think Cardiff at the time we played them are the standard of opposition we should judge him on. Against Burnley he was adequate at best, but did not look a level above the opposition.
  18. Being a 'professional victim' is probably the best career path available for them though . Spout the words "justice for.." often enough and they'll soon be on Question Time, Jeremy Vine on radio etc. Should be an Institute for Professional Victims somewhere. Probably in Liverpool at a guess.
  19. Yes, you are correct of course. Redknapp did p!ss him off, and when Burley came in he could not persuade him to stay as his mind was already made up.
  20. Matt Mills sprang to my mind also, but thanks largely to George Burley he p!ssed off. Although Man City did not work for him he did seem to get his career going again, but a couple of poor moves have put him back into the mediocre band again. Shame as he might have achieved more.
  21. or in this case limitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
  22. More importantly, what's his wife doing now ? We never seemed to have a thread discussing Mario Licka without photos of her, or Anders without the finer points of 'Mrs Anders' cropping up.
  23. They probably realise how this kind of approach elevated Doreen Lawrence in the public eye.
  24. Now that's a bit better:
  25. If its the same article as I've just read then this is not the most emphatic denial I've ever seen:
