  1. Good to see Rodriguez coming on. Only a few minutes run out but probably long enough to pull a hamstring or something.
  2. stone (for Rufus.... sod the T)
  3. Sherman
  4. The "homework" at the time though might have been down to Rupert & Sir Clive. That said, I think most supporters, me included, thought the Burley appointment a bit of a coup at the time. I remember a Wolves fan telling me how envious he was of us getting Burley.
  5. Cash
  6. Seem to remember that Madley came in for a lot of stick after that game, and the penalty/sending off decision in particular. Hope he doesn't look to 'over compensate' Newcastle on Saturday.
  7. Have to disagree on that one, I've a soft spot for Newcastle for a number of reasons. Always found them to be quite 'gracious' in the days when MLT used to single handedly put a spoke in their title challenges for example. The True Geordie also used to be a good watch. Would prefer Slobberdyce to go down with Sunderland.
  8. A definite silver lining to today's cloud, yes. Would have preferred a draw today, and a win at WHL to be honest, or better still win both, but if it assists in preventing the Norf London Yobbos winning the league then great.
  9. But for Rickie Lambert I thought we were Dagenham & Redbridge .
  10. Isn't the "sports science" thing something we built the whole Staplewood centre around, and were considered ahead of the game at one point ? We even had an 'injury prevention' specialist, until he was poached by Man Utd. Not sure if he was ever replaced, but I think he later left them after a run of injuries also.

  12. Worries me that this is a fixture where they have everything to play for, and we are probably winding down to the end of the season, possibly even one or two players thinking of their move in the summer. Is the 'attraction' of qualifying for the Europa League such an incentive ? If we turn up and are motivated we should win but it reminds me of the Cardiff home fixture a couple of years ago.
  13. Did he read it in The Sun, or does he have a more reliable source ? Be funny if it happens.* * untii Levy misses out on his first couple of choices, and seeks to entice Koeman of course
  14. Such tomfoolery had no place in Cortese's day.
  15. Of f^ck it, heres a smorgasboard of brilliance: [video=youtube;rp-XhGIyGdo]
  16. One of the greatest moments of sublime individual brilliance in a Saints shirt : [video=youtube;9M--5rbdCBk]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M--5rbdCBk Proud that I was there
  17. He probably realises its an excellent investment and will have no trouble letting it to Michael Owen or Martin O'Neill
  18. Do you think he would be considered by Arsenal or a club in the title/CL qualifying range then ? Whilst RK has been good for us, I suspect any club in the Aresenal/CL bracket will be looking for more success from a candidate and possiblty CL managerial experience.
  19. bite
  20. Hope RK remains, even if an extension to the existing contract for an additional rolling year so that we don't go into a season with the continual speculation of he's only staying for a season. Although he might covet a top job, with "an elite club2 (as described in one article), it begs the question whether in truth he has done enough for one of the CL elite to take a risk on him. Barcelona is probably his dream job, but they seem to be doing very well thanks so unlikely to change, where else ? Would he go elsewhere in Spain, possibly jeoparding his 'Barcelona dream' ? In England most of the bigger clubs - Arsenal, Chelsea for example, will want a proven CL experience. Perhaps the biggest risk to us might be the Dutch FA deciding for a clear out and putting in a new man, if they're unconvinced by Danny Blind.
  21. First game oif that season was home v Man City.
  22. Who failed to get promotion over about two or three seasons in which Bournemouth under John Bond were highly talked of in the media and expected to make it.
  23. Neither JWP or Tadic on the pitch at the time, he was next in the pecking order.
  24. As others have said, hope you [edited] win the league (assuming we're not going to do it, and we're not really in the race). Hope we get something from your place, its probably overdue to be honest, but hope it does not impede your title challenge, the prospect of spurs winning it makes me feel sick. Anyway, well done an exceptional season so far, title or not getting to the CL is a ttemendous achievement, and it might be enough to keep Mahrez and Kante for another season.
