A good read, and agree with you. As for the original question, I'm not aware that MP is "untouchable" and that people are over sensitive to critiscism. I have had doubts about the appointment, and on the evidence of last season saw little to convince me it was such an "upgrade". This season performances and early results have given a glimpse of what we hope for, and to that extent MP is in "credit" and most recognise the squad issues he still has with injuries. As for it ending "in tears" , I share FF's concern that the club might overstretch in pursuit of (personal ?) glory. Peter Ridsdale being a prime example.

Gets my vote. Although, it has to be said that Lawrie's team, as brilliant as it was in the early 80's, did not travel particularly well, the defence - which included Dave Watson, and Chris Nicholl - often used to 'go missing' away from The Dell.
