Probably the only job he'll be offered.

No, just rum, sodomy and the lash.

Reported after he signed that clubs had agreed the fee and deal at the end of May, he signed when ? Late August after other clubs reported interest failed to materialise.

Reading one of their forums for a bit of amusement last week, any many wanted Colin W^nker to be installed. Quite deserving of each other really.

Not sure his ability is in doubt, just his state of mind, and motivation. I actually think he could come good, and be a sensation for us, but it depends if he wants to be. MP has to unlock that ambition in Osvaldo's head for it to happen.

I think the Saints way now is to improve the first team starters, and the squad improves as well. I'd expect Boluc to become the understudy to be honest. He's 33 and a full international, bit late to start learning from it. Gazzaniga who is 21/22 might learn from this type of clownery but I think Boruc is a bit long in the tooth to be able to put up the 'learn from it' defence and smokescreen.

Best Places to Live in Britain - Southampton No 4
Badger replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Lounge
Bit of a contrast, going from crap towns, to 4th best place to live in a couple of weeks ? Perhaps not entirely reliable. -
next time perhaps, can't be long coming surely ?

on a slight tangent, bit isn't VW coming up for - or close to - a suspension ? Sh!t out of luck if its v Man City.

I don't recall another club seriously in the race for GR, but may be wrong. Fulham, though linked at one point in the press, were not in contention as I understood they were not prepared to meet Roma's valuation of the player. Had Fulham matched it, then I expect the attraction of the glitzy lights of London would have swayed this and DO would not be with us now.

How many times in the next 5 days will we
Badger replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Muppet Show
Has no one yet found a feature on who we were playing the week JFK was shot ? Or have I missed a MOTD episode from that week late on BBC in the last few days ? -
Because he has always struck me as a fairly decent enough bloke, seeking to help the club where he made his name etc. But like Stuart Gray, and Wigley with us, he is foisted into a thankless job, which he accepts out of loyalty, but is clearly not up to it.

but without a pott to p!ss in.

Not sure that is necessarily fair on Gaston to be honest. His style, our style may not fit, but I have never felt he came simply because he had no other option and had to.

Did we really used to play in stripes ?

Mauricio Pochettino's Post-Match Reaction - Arsenal
Badger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
fair point that he was not using him as a CB. Perhaps Chambers might have been a better rb option to keep the midfield intact than Steven Davis. -
For me, Osvaldo is an immense talent waiting to explode in the Premiership. The secret though is for MP to be able to unlock whatever is in the players head to motivate him. (rather like Cantona, above average at Leeds, but it took Ferguson - and sad to say- perhaps a bigger stage for it to happen). As much as I want to see him to reach his potential with us, I can't get away from the simple home truth that he simply does not want to be here, ultimately we were the only ones offering a safe passage out of Roma. Now prove me wrong, starting at Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino's Post-Match Reaction - Arsenal
Badger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Maya and Jos in the same back four again ? No thanks, MP has my support in not risking that. -
Dealing with that in order: No, even an average keeper should not have put himself in that position Goalkeeping errors were commonplace last season - near post failures in particular, but not by showboating He still remains our No 1 - but by default to some extent as the other options are even more fragile - and yes, I hope normal levels of competence are returned.

Southampton will stay out of January transfer market, says Pochettino
Badger replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Probably less than £15m, and I doubt he would be second choice if we signed him. -
Mauricio Pochettino's Post-Match Reaction - Arsenal
Badger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
But did he offer the assembled journalists the chance to view Lovren's vomit ? As Burley once did about Niemi's diarrhoea. -
Been waiting for this headline since he joined : Artur drops a Boluc

Don't disagree with the first part, but same was said after Stoke (although I think many accepted that was a fluke as far as Boruc was concerened). I go along with the view that Boruc has saved us more points than he has lost us this season and last. To that end he is still "in credit". Trouble is though, that this is now the third match running in which he has been involved in a bout of sloppiness resulting in us conceding. Stoke, and Hull, well we wrote those off to a bit of misfortune, but today was just down to him behaving like a clown. Have been arguing we need a quality GK for nearly two years now, though Boruc has briefly filled the post, its obvious another, younger version is needed.

oh, the mighty managerless Sc^nthorpe... ...dear, oh dear. Feel sorry for Whittingham.
