  1. Same rationale as used by simpletons who used to phone Solent suggesting Benali be made manager...("he bleeds red and white").
  2. £26M ? Depends how it is structured. In my view either all paid up front, or bugger off. This is an England international at the top of his game, the c^nts are trying to buy, not a bloody sofa from a Littlewoods catalogue on the 'never never'.
  3. Don't suppose they'd want a Pablo Dani O in part exchange by any chance ?
  4. Does seem a bit too 'management motivational speak' and little substance on occasion. Still think its a shame John Williams was not involved.
  5. Marshall on last season's form would be excellent, and of course proven in the EPL (which Fraser Forster, previously linked, is not.). Gut reaction though is that we're more likely to bring a GK from the continent, Netherlands or Germany in particular. If looking to build for the future, McCarthy at Reading has looked a good prospect, estimated at £3m in press reports when linked to Swansea.
  6. Thought he'd gone back to the skates, or possibly joined 'arry at QPR. I remember reading something about his move to one of them and thinking what a waste of a career.
  7. Whats Niemi up to these days ? Although expect another Dutch appointment.
  8. Won't stop them making similar derisory offers (as Liverpool have) just to test the water, and unsettle the player hoping it works to their advantage though. Assume AL will not be going the route of appointing Jonathan Barrett as his new agent. Not sure who they're looking at, other than a vague media link to Lovren, and today's rumour re O'Shea. Clearly opposite ends of the maeket.
  9. Morgan. No contest.
  10. Perhaps we are too occupied with Liverpool and their bid. I fear the unshaven podgy dago at THFC is likely to stir this one up again after WC.
  11. Looks like we have missed one CB target we've previously been linked with, Cheikou Kouyate: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2660394/Cheikhou-Kouyate-clinches-7m-West-Ham-Hammers-shape-six.html Hopefully RK will have something better in store, Van Djik or one of his Feyenoord CB's.
  12. Probably exceeds the appointments of Poortvleet, and recruitment of Simon Clifford in terms of 'promotion above ability' stakes.
  13. Disagree - if we are improving the team we need a GK better than we have.
  14. I think we can expect Pelle to follow, but Depay would be an impressive potential recruit from those listed.
  15. Would be my preference for a CB from the little I've seen or read.
  16. Am hoping Koeman might entice a couple of the better Dutch youngsters from Feyenoord, De Vrijs as a CB in particular.
  17. Read this on Kluitenburg : Poor translation from :http://www.rijnmond.nl/sport/07-05-2014/feyenoord-niet-verder-met-jan-kluitenberg
  18. Reported in the BBC gossip column, along with Chelsea looking at a left back from CSKA. When fees of c£12m in mentioned for Blind, and less for CSKA's lb you can see why they might baulk at pursuing Shaw. A year under Koeman, and Shaw will probably be on Barcelona's radar.
  19. or just double dutch...
  20. Perhaps we should sign the Swiss left back as well if Shaw leaves. That'll confuse them.
  21. Ditto. Would be hard to deny him a move to Barcelona to be honest, especially if they make a "sensible" or attractive offer.
  22. At the time, and seeing it again, I feel Platt could have stayed on his feet. That said, if a free kick was to be given then it should have been a red card. Pretty sure I've read an interview with Koeman since in which he expressed his surprise it was only a yellow.
  23. What's the liklihood of Koeman bringing a couple of the youngsters from Feyenoord with him, one of the CB's in particular ?
  24. Is KBilly a known 'ITK' ? Pleased if true.
