Simple & outstanding.

Ottery indeed is a jolly good fellow. I have never met him, but have exchanged some pleasantries with him on the board not only about Saints, but also football in the Gloucestershire - Devon region. He too realises there is more to sporting life in the West Country than racing with tar barrels through Ottery St Mary, or Cheeserolling in Gloucestershire.

Actually "they" didn't as the possibility of us signing KK was not even speculated on, it would have been considered too far fetched.

The deal 'appears' to have gone far too public for how we previously liked to tie things up. In the past couple of seasons this might have killed it off. But as we are now playing with the big boys, and their agents, perhaps even NC will have to accept we are no longer in a position to dictate the rules.(Perhaps he will realise he is not the "master of manipulation" as some claimed). Alternatively, perhaps we will delve further into negotiations elsewhere, interesting that the topic of Naingollan emerged again yesterday, and the Banega camp appear to be very quiet.

He looks like a heap of trouble, we should stay well clear. If we can splash £20m then Lamela would be a better option, although of course Roma don't want to lose him.

I thought this was a potential big 4 player we were tracking ?

Is that Yoshida on the art of defending against Italy by any chance ?

Where in Bournemouth was that then ?

to make it an Arsenal shirt !

More replace one older (57) manager, who perhaps has not returned all the trophies they desire, with one of the best up and coming managers in Europe * . * or is this perhaps a view not widely shared after all ?
-
But then people would say we've copied Ajax. Why do that when we can look like a Charlton, Swindon, Crewe or Bristol City ?
-
All of it - or so our CEO seems to wish.

Isn't this more likely to create a vacancy in Spain to attract Pochettino, rather than us think about bringing his mentor in here ?
-
What he said !

The hideous red creation is more in keeping with a club the standard of Swindon or Crewe.

Didn't hold Sir Alex back in his career.

But not in the team at the same time perhaps ? Too many "violinists" to use Lawrie's phrase.
-
Remember the late 80's/90's Saints in Conventional Kit (SICK) Campaign ? Even Rupert Lowe agreed a supporter's vote on the shirt.
-
He didn't stay through it though, if memory is correct. He joined PSG or someone on loan and returned to Spurs some while after hostilities had finished. He never had the same popularity afterwards though.

But it may not just be blustering by the Argentinian government that could rock the boat is it ? A few choice headlines in the tabloids, being abused week in week out at away fixtures etc etc. Views expressed in the dressing room and so on. Although a bit more than blustering in 1982 it was enough for Ardiles, who otherwise seemed a level headed bloke rather than a playboy footballer,(or "bellend") to move away.
-
Didn't he sing "One night in Bangkok" ? Perhaps a cryptic connection to Banega's uploaded video of himself.
-
Not sure that's the case apart from the post immediately above yours. I'm in agreement with the doubts raised below to be honest. Could easily disrupt harmony "on the bus". But then again, perhaps Pochettino is a type who might tame and contain him.

The first "proper" pre-season game predicion sweepstake thread
Badger replied to jawillwill's topic in The Saints
And who for the Liebherr Trophy ? Espanyol ?
