Ex-Saints boss to be named Scotland manager in next 48 hours - Telegraph
Badger replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Yes, congrats to WGS. He's got himself a part=time job! -
Accept your view Upwey, just that we do seem to 'court' the complex deal. This is not necessarily the clubs fault as other factors are at play, as the other club, and players agents welcome playing it out in public to promote other interest etc.

Interesting situation isnt it ? Assuming Molde accept our bid,Liverpool presumaby are expected to match it, or his club simply tell him to speak to us if he wants to move.Or is it likely Molde have an agreement with Liverpool, who essentially have first option, and will only consider our bid after the Liverpool trial is completed and decisions there are made ?

Don't forget the overhead v Villa earlier in the year. Still on youtube.

Oh sh!t not another points deduction.

Thanks. I think you prove my point.

I heard a rumour that as it was our first visit to Chelsea - Kings Road, Carnaby St. and all - that NC had commissioned a special Italian designed, off the shoulder number for the evening. Speculation remains if he selected the red, or the white version of it though.

I liked Prutton as a midfielder, and was pleased when we signed him as he had a god reputation and future ahead of him, or so it seemed. However he never really played in a settled team if I recall, cup tied on joining. But that said, he was vastly overrated during his time with us, 'commitment' being due to clapping, and charging around like a lunatic making a few wreckless challenges along the way. Then the Arsenal incident : Yes, the ten game ban was severe but it was easy for the F.A to llok big in caning us, whereas we know had he been at ManU or the like it might have been half that. Still a ridiculous thing to do when we could least afford it, so his greatest contributions remain the miss at WBA and the sending off. Not sure I agree with you about Redknapp here though, had he not intervened where do you think Prutton would have stopped ? A full scale assault and lifeban perhaps ? This 'red mist' was not isolated though as he had another 'blow out' with Forest in a play off semi with Yeovil getting sent off for a needless lunge at one of their players.

Who we've been linked with for January thread...

How will Dave Merrington cope with vain queer in midfield ? -
He could throw a strop, and decine to play. If that's the level of commitment he shows for signing for us then.... no only joking.

And here's some classy Pompey women....

True BAFTA material.

No, Liverpool and Forest have used it in the 80's or 90's. "Brands" ? Who supports a "brand" ? Yes, I know, the investment/overseas argument, but success on the pitch will make us more attractive, rather than a shirt design.
-
No you're not alone. Disliked the c^nts in the 1980's and still do. Detest Everton as well, Highbury '84 and all that. Its all about "justice" by the way, say it often enough and it probably gives them a good feeling about themselves. (nothing to do with compensation of course ?) As for tomorrow - no, I can't will ManU to win, just as detestable.
-
Don't understand how that can be considered to be honest, by anyone other than an idiot. Can a club ('brand') increase "attractiveness" by ditching its tradition ? I know Cardiff's owners think that, but load of b0ll0cks as far as I'm concerned.
-
Time will tell. Let's just hope this transfer is not still lingering on 30th/31st January.
-
This is something that ****es me off about our transfer policy. We have , presumably, made a substantial bid but his club - reasonably enough perhaps - want to start an auction. I can't believe this is the only CB on our radar, or that we won't be able to sign one of similar calibre for the £we're talking of. So lets move on. Give Cagliari a 24/48 hr deadline - take it or we'll f^ck off somewhere else.
-
Imagine the uproar if Guly had wasted the chances that came Benteke's way today !

Agree with you, it will take more than one good performance to convince me he's our saviour, or can be relied on week in week out.

What would you do with the sandworks opposite St Marys?
Badger replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Successive council's - probably for the last forty years - really have failed the city in my view. Agree with you about Cardiff, but then there has been a lot of Government money , and from the EU as well poured into Cardiff for the area around the Welsh Assembly etc. -

More serious answer would be a Saints museum amongst the development.
