  1. Matches against real other clubs, with proper supporters rather than glory seeking arseholes.

No 6 - 'W^nkdorf Stadium' for them surely ? And No 18 for Brighton & HIV Albion to rename the Amex as : Gaylord Entertainment Center
  4. Badger

Linking the above posts the answer is obvious: The Anasol Rupert Stadium. Has a certain 'ring' to it, don't you think ?
  5. Badger

It will remain St Mary's as far as I'm concerned. But of course it should have been named The Rupertdome in 2001.
  6. Probably not as "devastated" as Fat Sam is about not going to Vegas due to the play offs though.
  7. woman..
  8. (submarine) beaten to it !!
  9. Original Badger reporting for duty.
  10. The original post did say most memorable other than the finals of 1976 and 2003, hence no mention of "..Stokes, he's onside...one -nil" as David Coleman described it. As for Hugh Fishers equaliser, you can only really judge the moment as it was at the time, not in hindsight. So unless you had the benefit of clairvoyance in the 92nd minute of the match v Villa and knew instantly where it would lead, it was at the time a great equaliser in stopage time. Moran on the other hand, at Fratton..last kick of the game.. Fishers goal was quite memorable for me for private reasons, as my late father was a big fan of Hugh Fisher (if only to cause healthy debate in our house about the more illustrious members of the side I banged on about, ie Channon,Osgood, Steele..).
  11. Nice touch, and good story.
  12. Yes, although still only a worthy runner up to Moran 1984.
  13. Semi's could also be held in Cardiff, or City of Manch Stadium, no real shortage of venues if needed. Another item to bring back the "magic", is to have the draw on a Monday lunchtime again. Nothing beats a full days guessing and thinking about the possible draw to build up the excitement. Now of course its done by two low grade celebs, and the ****s on tv think we are going to be impressed.
  14. Slightly different to the £10m that was mooted in January. Probably a good indication as to how clubs should modify their expectations (ie Burnley and £8m for JR.).
  15. ...and some amazing off field memories, on getting seriously p!ssed awaydays : Sheff Weds 1984 Orient 1988 (or thereabouts) Brighton 1986
  16. Addams (family)
  17. Another valid point. Playing the semi-finals at Wembley was always going to devalue the spectacle of the final. How the FA doyens (or dickheads) could not see that is beyond me.
  18. Probably a realistic and fair assessment. No 2 has to push for a place and be capable. Do we need a No 3 keeper, in view of the 25 man squad limits
  19. Agree with most of that. GK's to consider, Butland at Brum if they don't go up, or Smithies at Huddersfield, McCarthy at Reading although unlike;y they will release him. KD worries me a bit. As someone posted on another thread surprised that he was voted in the Championship team ahead of, for example, Federrici (?).Yes,KD deserves his chance, but I'm under no illusion, there is a question over how/if he'll step up. Is our defence so much better than Sunderland's when against Prem strikers ? As for the other clown, get shot asap.Just thankful he did not have to be called on again in a pressurised match in the run in. Tommy Forecast anyone ?
  20. June 15th - always on a Friday ! (or July 25th so Dalek can go beserk over leaving it late and tell us we will finish 17th).
  21. As you say, its a disgrace that a game that used to be the pinnacle and showpiece of the season is now just a minor detail. I didn't know until yesterday that it was being played today, but then again our time out of the Prem has allowed me to try and ignore the Liverpools and Chelseas with their overpaid mercenaries. The fact it is such a boring fixture does not help, always better with a Wimbledon, Saints, or Sunderland than two predictable juggernauts going through the motions yet again. Presumably it will be on ITV with Adrian - rubber faced Brummie **** - presenting it, so well worth giving it a miss. All this has been brought about by the FA prostituting the Cup, and ITV's crap coverage.
  22. Stuart Pearce would not have got a sniff at an England shirt for years had Dennis' career not been blighted by his 'off the field' issues.
