  1. Possibly Netherlands in knock outs, IF England win their group
  2. I suspect we’ve pitched it that no other fucker has come in for him on the sort of terms he might have hoped for… He was outstanding in the final weeks in the Championship, but frightening that we might start with him for the season in August
  3. At that age you could probably get away with buying last season’s. - Straight out of the Katie Hopkins School of Parenting.
  4. I think they’ve already stated ‘conventional stripes’ so more likely to be similar to the Lens shirt. Either of them are okay, but ruined by the plain back in my view.
  5. White collar is a Stoke shirt to me. Other than that it’ll be much better than we probably end up with.
  6. Not sure there is a first choice EPL GK between them in the first three. We know Bazunu & McCarthy didn’t measure up last time. Ludicrous if we’re relying on that bunch without a significant signing to bolster the squad.
  7. It’s only really good news if we’re not intent on playing him in the league. Which tends to undermines the point of offering him a new contract.
  8. How could you forget Guly ?
  9. As for the Newcastle away game. What’s the betting it’s moved to 12.30 or 5pm on the Saturday?
  10. As opposed to last time when we were on the beach having qualified for the Championship in May ( possibly by April even).
  11. I understood it was between us and Sunderland. Agree with you though, tremendous signing.
  12. Just to be clear, and avoid a sleepless night tonight then, should Brooks return, will he be cup tied for the Palace fixture, does it carry over to next season for the first time in history ?
  13. Yes, think you might be right. I'll give myself 200 lines* tonight to remember it correctly in future. *note for younger generation - nothing to do with snorting substances.
  14. When I started following Saints, the record was c £160,000 and people were astounded when £200,000 was reached (Peters to Spurs). Even more so when Saints spent over £200,000 on Peter Osgood in 1974. Talk of millions then would have been laughed at.
  15. Perhaps that’s a failing of taking two young and inexperienced players. No matter how skilful and promising, the manager doesn’t trust them at this level
  16. Reminds me of ‘ bin men, and violinists ‘ etc
  17. Hope he delivers something then, or is part of a team that does.
  18. Yep, signed the old heads, now need the capable young legs.
  19. Agree with you. But Lawrie didn’t just sign older heads, he signed quality. A World Cup winner, a twice promoted (and current Northern Ireland) CB, a former England full back, a former European Cup winning midfielder. I don’t see many with these on their CV signing up ( apart from Lallana Champions League perhaps). ( And this is without mentioning a current European footballer of the year, and England GK).
  20. Smallbone is already with us.
  21. think our interest was as a Championship club and we’ve now moved on. Hope so. Presumably Swansea wouldn’t want to sell to us though
  22. Except one perhaps ….
  23. Badger

    Adam Lallana

I think we have to bury any animosity about how he left, let bygones be bygones and all that. So lets hope it works out really well for player and club. Yes, welcome back Nivea, you cunt...
  24. Plain red and white stripes. But watch them balls up the real kit.
  25. In theory, but it largely depends on what other options Martin has as he seemed reluctant to select Charles last season. Might take a couple of injuries before he’s called upon.
