Plain red and white stripes. But watch them balls up the real kit.

In theory, but it largely depends on what other options Martin has as he seemed reluctant to select Charles last season. Might take a couple of injuries before he’s called upon.
-
It’s a fair question in truth, but going on recent times I thought the process was just to agree everything with the player and his agent. They’ll soon establish the lines of communication for you.

Sure it’s not his brother, at Sunderland? Or his cousin who he’s recommended to us.

Brian Howard hasn’t been mentioned for a while
-
Who was that ?
-
Have to wonder if it’s worthwhile employing a scout or head of recruitment, just let someone run through an A-Z of recent Saints players.
-
The bloke from Burnley also had quite an impressive CV from his playing days. Rightly or wrongly this will is likely to have influenced Bayern’s selection. Probably not a good comparison.
-
Brighton heavily linked with a young German coach. Surprised that he would be ahead of RM in their list.
-
Rather him than a Rooney, Gerrard, or the like.
-
It was good in some ways, but the downside would be losing players in October (for example).

Interesting. I don’t know if Watson was still here with Mark Wright. Plus Wright hadn’t captained England when he played for us, which I think was the question when first raised.

Mills signed after KK and Channon had left.

Not sure. 1980's pub quiz question: name the five* England captains to play in the same Southampton side 2024 version: name the five Southampton captains to play in the same side. See how standards have slipped. * I think this is a mistake and we only had four at the same time.

And Fonte of course ..... (Unless Jimmy Case can be lured out of retirement).
-
Worth signing just to have Jeronimo on the back of a shirt. (Different spelling I know).
-
Except I don’t think we’ll be looking to replace Smallbone. I like both JWP and Downes for what they’ve given us, but would be a bit concerned with the two of them together in midfield, leaving us still a bit lightweight.

Preparing for the Championship 2025/26.

Bit unfair to even bring that up. I wasn't convinced of him as a manager but he seemed a decent enough bloke victim of false allegations from a couple of scrotes .

All in the same evening

I should have qualified that as : his stock is at the highest it has been in his career to date Agree that age is on his side, and with a sound season or two keeping us up it will increase. But there is the danger of a poor season and he won’t be the sought after up and coming young manager any more. There have been several who thought they might be on the up after a promotion but then went downhill pretty fast (Billy Davis for one, Heckingbottom another).
-
If he is given the opportunity to speak with Brighton, or has an offer from them I think he’ll go. If that is something he wants then it’d be mad to turn it down. His stock is at it’s highest having just got a promotion, but a poor season, possibly the sack, relegation, the opportunity might not rise again. That said, the Swansea situation might muddy the waters.

Neil Shipperley. No further comment required

I seem to recall Gabbiadini having a motoring offence whilst with us. Guly - didn’t he put his 4x4 into a bus shelter whilst under the influence ? Thomas Hjato - charged somewhere for importing illegal cigarettes from recollection

Sure their selection isn’t influenced by their other halves ?
