Footballers play football and stop making pointless gestures.

The picture of England players going down on one knee to signify that Black Lives Matter, prior to then trying to qualify for a tournament being held in Qatar, is a particular favourite of mine. Just about sums up the whole woke agenda, all mouth & no trousers.

Perhaps the footballers could make a gesture before each game to show these slaves that their lives matter. Perhaps the broadcasters could bang on about it after every kick off, and Wokies like Linekar could tweet about it constantly. That’s the only way we’re going to change the world, by making empty meaningless gesture that show we care and make us feel good about ourselves.

Let’s hope it’s a kick up the arse for them. I live in Poole but prefer Gatwick to it. Horrendous to get to and the robbing barstards rip you right off. Nice leisurely train journey to Southampton would do me fine.

My Snap dragon was told at the end of last Jan to prepare herself for the worst and her old man wouldn’t make it past Feb and wouldn’t be leaving hospital.The stubborn old bugger got better and went home, only to fall a few weeks later, be readmitted, catch Covid and die. There’s absolutely no chance he’d have seen out the year even if Covid never existed. He did however die of Covid. Is he an excess death, would he have died in 2019 had the flu strain been bad that year, who knows? But it shows statistics are more nuanced than you’d think they would be.
