  1. My Snap dragon was told at the end of last Jan to prepare herself for the worst and her old man wouldn’t make it past Feb and wouldn’t be leaving hospital. The stubborn old bugger got better and went home, only to fall a few weeks later, be readmitted, catch Covid and die. There’s absolutely no chance he’d have seen out the year even if Covid never existed. He did however die of Covid. Is he an excess death, would he have died in 2019 had the flu strain been bad that year, who knows? But it shows statistics are more nuanced than you’d think they would be.
  2. WTF. They cancelled “The chase” last night. Only the death of Bradley Walsh or maybe The Vixon should stand in the way of the chase. Now Radio 2 is playing mainly dirges, Country is going to pot. Fucking soft arsed pinkos running amok.
  3. Everyone is turning a blind eye, from FIFA to Sky, via PFA, media wokies, players, supporters and advertisers.
  4. It’s clearly harder to win the cup when every side plays their first 11 every fucking round.
  5. You ask any football fan over 55 “who won the cup in 76” and they’ll say Southampton, I bet they’ll even say Bobby Stokes. You can bet your life in 15 years time not many will remember the year Wigan won it, let alone who scored the winner. It just ain’t the same anymore and I for one am glad I was around when it did mean something. Now mid table sides don’t play a full strength team until the quarter finals, it’s sad what’s happened to a great competition.
  6. Not for me I’m afraid. Second division team winning a competition where every single side that entered played a full side, and desperately wanted to win it.
  7. Some have bestowed that on him already.
  8. I bet you’re a bundle of fun in the ale house.
  9. He’s ok. Big and strong, but lacking a bit of real quality. I doubt we could get anyone much better, unless we got really lucky in the transfer window, and if we did, I doubt they’d stay long. Doesn’t look out of place in our squad but not really good enough for a step up. In other words, perfect.
  10. I’m not a Tory. I voted for the pinko to Get Brexit Done.
  11. Some of our supporters think Mike Dean has a personal vendetta against us. When it comes to making excuses our supporters shouldn’t really be taking the piss out of Liverpool, we’re right up there with them this season.
  12. Spot on. It’s clear Boris is avoiding decisions, he’s trying to cover his arse. Advisors advise, and ministers decide, lockdown measures and the relaxing of them, is a political decisions, not a medical one. The great lady would have made decisions one way or the other, as would Blair. All this hiding behind SAGE shows a lack of backbone imo.
  13. Most local referees are jobsworth’s, and I played until I was 47 so saw a lot of them. You strike me as a typical local ref. Were you also a traffic warden?
  14. So you post that we didn’t have the finances to get in the players Ralph wanted, yet you haven’t got a clue who these players are.
  15. Fuck me. I hope Redmond is watching this. Players running at opposition players, not turning back and passing sideways
  16. Good goal though
  17. Shame they did against Leeds and at OT though.
  18. Haven’t the teams we played also had a crowded schedule?
  19. Which players did Ralph want that we wouldn’t pay for? Realistic ones, not fucking Messi.
  20. You’re easily satisfied. Just goes to show what a great job Claude Puel did with similar players, once VvD got injured. Ive never once called for Ralph to be sacked, not once. However, he’s over rated by a large section of the fan base. He’s lucky he followed Hughes & Pelligrino, had he followed Koeman and Poch, he’d be looked at rather more objectively.
  21. Or even 2 offs
  22. Yet again, manipulating dates to suit the cult of Ralph. Why 2020, why not 2021? No, that would suit. Managers should be judged on seasons, nothing else. Playing everyone twice, that’s a fair judgement period. 11th isn’t great, it’s ok, but certainly not anything special and certainly not deserving of the praise he receives. You yourself, have said it’s par. If we finish below 11th this season, he’d have given us a par (your words) season and a below par season......
  23. I do remember reading about a kit being designed to rip if tugged gently. The thinking was that it would highlight the pull on the shirt, and make it appear worse that it was. Put it like this, had Woods’ shirt been ripped at the seams, would the referee have given a penalty. Maybe not, but it would certainly have highlighted the shirt pull.
