  1. I think McCarthy would have kept clean sheets against The Mighty Shrewsbury, Arsenal reserves, Wolves reserves & an off colour Liverpool. All of a sudden it’s a wonderful feat of goalkeeping greatness. “4 clean sheets in 4 games”, let’s drop McCarthy. I’ll tell you this much, we’d have conceded a hell of a lot more with lurch in nets this season than McCarthy has.
  2. Bloody hell, Carneys on again. She’s either got a magnificent agent or......no better not.
  3. Fuck me, I wish I had a pound every time I read “ 4 clean sheets in 4 games “ from the Forsterites. The question is, would McCarthy have let any goals in had he been in the nets against the mighty Shrews, Arsenal reserves an off form Liverpool and Wolves reserves. The answer is almost certainly, no. My mum may have only let a couple in, such was the lack of attacking threat in those games. These weren’t vintage goal keeping performances in the face of an onslaught. Any keeper in the top 3 flights would be capable of doing similar, yet Forster is suddenly our saviour. As far as I’m concerned never seeing the big lump in nets again will be too soon. He’s pony.
  4. I must admit I’m worried about the 2025/26 season.
  5. What a ridiculous thing to say. If we hadn’t won so many games under Koeman, we’d have been looking over our shoulders both seasons.
  6. They can’t have wanted him that much, otherwise they’d have him. If you think their poor season is down to not having him in nets , you really have lost the plot. I suggest you look in the dug out. speaking of which, there’s a bloke in our dugout who sees him day in day out. Why do you think you see something he doesn’t, you can only have seen him in 4 games.
  7. There’s a lack of on field leadership in the modern game, but there’s also a lack of managers installing a bit of fear, the hairdryer of past. It doesn’t even need to be the manger, my understanding is Joe Fagin dished out Bob Paisleys bollockings. At the moment there seems to be a coaching clique at most clubs, the assistants are like nodding dogs to the coach/manager. You can bet your life none of the players, and more importantly none of the coaching staff, will be challenging Ralph and wanting stuff sorted or changed. I bet a few players would be digging Lawrie or Ted out if they had a run like this.
  8. There’s no chance we’ll finish lower than 17th.
  9. I think there’s as many positives as negatives, so it probably evens itself out in the end. Going to Dean court without fans will be a bit easier imo. Our home form was so woeful I thought a break from the fans may give us an opportunity to re set our home performances. Now I’m not so sure.
  10. As Roy Keane once said of Arsenal, we’re a team of son in laws. Seem like a nice bunch of lads, a credit to their families and model pros. Unfortunately, they’re also mentally weak. The senior pros OR, Armstrong & Bertrand seem the quiet type as is our keeper and our big Viking centre half. It’s not about going around kicking people, but organising people, digging them out when standards slip. I know you can’t go round chinning your own players anymore but somebody needs to upset a few and install some standards amongst the players. It’s ok when the goings good, but when it’s not you need a couple of pirates to bang some heads together.
  11. Spot on. Bednarek has been poor the last couple of weeks, I’m surprised nobody has blamed spending a few games next to Stephens for that. There’s not rating players and then there’s the bizarre ritual of twisting what actually happened in the game to suit your agenda. If you read the comments on here you’d think Redmond was out of his depth today, yet he did ok. You even had people claiming Adams would bury chances that Redmond missed, although they probably regret posting that when Adams missed a simple header from a great Redmond cross. He was not as good as Armstrong, but nowhere near as poor as some of the others. Vesty can get skinned inside the box, turning like the QE2 and yet the goal is the keepers fault. Ward-Prowse and OR were distinctly average second half, and Bertrand looked like he was running on sand second half. The new bloke did fuck all, with Djneppo doing even less than that.
  12. It’s laughable the way Forster being talked up by some. All of a sudden he’s better with his feet, organises the defenders and makes saves. All this whist sat on the bench. The fact is he was complete pony before being dropped and is only at the club because nobody else wants him or thinks he earns his monster wage. We’ve got beat by 9 twice and he still can’t get a game, not because Ralph has a vendetta or because he’s clueless, he doesn’t play league games because he’s pony. As Bill Shankly once said to a reserve after witnessing a poor defeat “how bad must you be to not get in this side”. McCarthy’s detractors need to ask the same question, how bad must he be to be behind McCarthy.
  13. We’ll win at least 3 games the rest of the season. No bother.
  14. Anyone who thinks we can get a better manager than we’ve got is deluded. Like Claude before him, he’s doing a good job with average, mentally weak players.
  15. We also overplay our best players.
  16. Oh you’re a referee, it all makes sense now.
  17. Bertrand you dopey women
  18. You’re writing pony. Where he was stood, to the left of him was near post, to the right far post. Had it gone to the left of him, would you have said he was beaten on his far post? Of course you wouldn’t. You’re embarrassing yourself, give it up.
  19. You’re so obsessed with digging out McCarthy you’re trying to rewrite football jargon. He wasn’t beaten at his near post. The goal was a combination of 2 mistakes from Bednarek & 1 from Vesty. I guess because Stephens isn’t playing McCarthy gets blamed for goals. It’s pathetic.
  20. I thought the same, but Bednarek was too deep and played him on. Stephens fault probably.
  21. It wasn’t near post.
  22. You’ve even got people convincing themselves it was near post. They’re so obsessed with scapegoating McCarthy they’re seeing things that didn’t happen. The centre halves have been poor second half, but as one of them is not Stephens, they’re absolved of any blame.
  23. It was Vestys fault, never should get beaten that easy. But he’s a forum hero, so can’t be his fault
  24. Unbelievable that one of England’s greatest ever strikers, who has been on TV for years, gets to analyse one of his former teams. Baffling.
