He won players player & supporters player of the year in his third season. I understand people think he’s pretty useless, I think so myself, but let’s stick to facts and not let blind hatred warp the discussion. He did ok the first season & was decent a couple of seasons back (hence his awards). To say he’s “done nothing “ since his first season is pony.

All three were very very good players, all three were extremely competitive. If you think they’ll let a player fake it, you’re deluded. Still what do they know about what’s needed to perform at the top level?
-
You’re acting like the start of last season was nothing to do with Ralph, that he took over in Jan 20. So it’s not a “couple of poor months off the back of high performance “. It’s a fucking awful run, following on from an 11th place finish. Not forgetting 2 record breaking defeats either side of this “high performance”. Football is not like other jobs, so trying to compare is pointless. What you can compare is jobs in football. I find it baffling that a guy with the record he’s got is feted by so many, it’s like a cult. I don’t want him ditched, yet. But if he losses the quarter final and we end up 15th or 16th, I will. It’s not good enough.

Do you really believe Claude Puel, Mark Hughes and Pelligrino, all combative players, plus the present manager (who I don’t know what was like as a player), let a player get away with “faking it”? Do you believe that all his team mates for the past few years have let him stand around “watching like he’s got a season ticket”. Of course they don’t, you’re writing pony.

Saint and Greavsie, now just Greavsie

Brilliant....How did you celebrate a goal Jim? -
He’s a better player than the big lump that came on last night.
-
He has been awful lately, but he’s not as bad as some make out. Just like dropping Jack Stephen’s didn’t make our defending particularly better, dropping him won’t make us suddenly start banging then in left right and centre. He’s average, soft as shite, and mentally weak, pretty much like the rest of them. The only difference is others get a free pass for it.
-
If we go out of the cup to Boscombe and finish below Fulham, should he be sacked ?
-
If we’re going to play a centre half at right back it has to be Stephens.
-
More excuses. It was fucking woeful. Everton played the whole of the second half in third gear. When it mattered we were bullied. If you think Prowse was “competitive “ you’re deluded. We got exactly what we deserved, fuck all.
-
That’s an understatement.
-
He’s been useless, soft as shite. I thought he was the great new hope of the forum. If Jack Stephens turned in a performance like this the forum would crash.
-
If his role is to play safe, sideways and backward, whilst winning fuck all tackles, he’s doing it well.
-
He’s putting Ward-Prowse to shame. Actually being positive, getting forward, and mixing it up a bit. Best player so far imo.
-
Prowse hinders our own player there. Fucking woeful again....
-
He lost me at Henry Winter.
-
If this means McCarthy is our cup keeper, I’m all for it.

Don’t talk pony man. If Reed was loaned out all last season, he wasn’t an option so we haven’t lost him if you’re comparing last season to this. . Last season our options were PEH, JWP & OR. This season they are OR, JWP & Diallo.
-
We’ve just had a rugby international with a farcical refereeing performance.
-
Oh, I see how it works now. The Les Reed era starts, not when he joins the club, not even when he’s promoted, but after great signings like Mane, Pelle, Bertrand have been signed. And it ends, not when he leaves, but when “it’s on the cards” and we can discount Danny Ings.
-
Danny Ings was a Les Reed era signing. It was a loan with an obligation to buy, only someone wishing to skew the facts would put him in the post Reed pot.
-
You reckon people would have taken not going down as the limit of our league ambitions at the beginning of the season. Not after the way we finished last season, no chance. When you look at the way Villa and West Ham have attacked the season, ours has been woeful in comparison (oh and they’ve had fixture congestion as well). The cup is his saving grace. Lose to Boscombe and even you lot will run out of excuses for him. Lose in the semi final and stay up, that’s a Hughes like season. To salvage anything at all from this season we’ll need a sharp upturn in league form or a cup final. I can’t really see either happening to be honest, but fingers crossed I’m proved wrong.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. You wait until wokies start realising BAME folk are missing out on jobs, visits to shops, pubs and cinemas disproportionately.
-
Oh, that’s it then. Brilliant logic. Clearly it’s going to be a Mark Hughes type. Steve Bruce?
-
Was awful for Boscombe last season too . It’s a no from me as well.
