  1. Has he been lunching with Jean-Claude Juncker?
  2. Some weirdos on here. I’m just glad I was around when winning the cup did mean something. We’re never going to win fuck all worthwhile if we give up on the cup. A second division team in the quarter final, we should be chomping at the bit.
  3. That’s when he started to lose me. It was fucking cringe and I dread to think what the players said to each other, out of his earshot. Of course, some of the loons on here lapped it up. Ive absolutely no doubt if his name was Ralph Higgins the hipsters wouldn’t be quite so generous or spin his record quite so much.
  4. This is all it is. There’s absolutely nothing in his record that suggests he’s doing anything other than average. The cult of Ralph wet themselves because we were top of the league for all of 1 day, and in the weirdest year football has ever known, we won the “5th in the calendar year” award. In the real world we’ve chucked away lead after lead, looked a shambles defensively 7 or 8 times, make tactical changes that have zero effect on the game, went on a record breaking running defeats and burst into tears when we actually win a game.
  5. I think we won a cup for beating Shrewsbury. One thing for sure, it was a better win than Puels at Anfield, we scored double the amount of goals.
  6. Of course it’s spinning it. Who cares about points, it’s league placing that counts, always has been, always will. It’s only weirdos that won’t accept Puel did a decent job that bring it up. By your method of difining a season, Liverpool runners up in 2019 had a better season than Arsenals invicables, who never lost a game.
  7. We were close to winning the 2020 calendar year championship though....
  8. However you spin it, 11th is no big deal. It’s certainly not an “achievement “. Certainly a lot worse than Claude Puel did, who got sacked. He’s better than Pelligrino, big deal. He’s not much better than Mark Hughes. However, neither of them had one 9-0 on their record, let alone two. Net spend over 5-10 years, what a fucking joke. What is it, 5? 10? If we lose Saturday and get relegated, some of you clowns will still worship him. It’s like a cult.
  9. How do you explain his woeful performance at the start of the 2019/20 season. He’s had 2 shit spells and one good one. You only concentrate on the good spell, what if that was the blip. All I know is he finished 11th and did nothing in both cups last season. If we lose to Brentford & Boscombe in the cups and finish 15th, 16th, 17th this. That ain’t great. In fact it’s fucking poor. Still he’ll have his “calendar year” award on the mantle.
  10. Based on what?
  11. I had mine this morning, all very straight forward and well organised. Given date for second one at same time. I thought it’d be a load of old twats like me, but there were a lot of nippers (health workers I presume) and loads I’d put in the 40-50 range. No ill affects at all, but I’m milking it a bit round the snap dragon and playing the sympathy card.
  12. Best players? Isn’t that like funniest German? Apart from Armstrong, OR & Walker-Peters, they can all fuck off as far as I’m concerned.
  13. I’m not particularly worried about his plan B. It’s his plan A I’m worried about
  14. Our back 4 is a shambles when we play a system we’re used to, god knows how bad we’ll be with a different system. You can toss a coin regarding who plays in nets. Back 4 picks itself, as does 3 of the 4 in midfield. (JWP, Diallo, Armstrong), as does Che. Just leaves one midfield wide position and one up top for anyone to argue over. I’d go Djneppo on the basis there’s nobody else, and (duck for cover) Redmond. Further forward his fuck ups might not cost us, and you never know. Given the instructions of pick it up between the lines and go at them, you never know he may cause their back four a problem. Tella hasn’t convinced me that he can finish yet. Not that Redmond has, but he does occasionally play less shite and is due a goal.....
  15. Belgium Health Minister “It would be irresponsible to stop vaccination with AstraZeneca” "For us, the balance is clear and clean” “It's a race against time & given number of cases in Belgium we cannot afford to interrupt the vaccination rollout”
  16. The Ralph cult want it both ways. The whole club is structured around him, according to articles his hand prints are on everything, including how all sides connected to the club play. Yet when it comes to shit decisions he’s “dealt a very bad hand”. Here’s a thought. Ralph having previously stated he wanted a small squad, was perfectly happy with the 2 back up full backs going out on loan. That he thought he could get his “smaller squad”, to cover players he didn’t really rate. The alternative is the powers that be decided it, and Ralph was too weak to stop them. Both scenarios don’t show him in a good light.
  17. Judge a manager over a season, not some artificial span of dates that suits people’s agendas. I don’t give a shiny shite whether he’s a genius over a “Calendar year” or wins every game he’s ever played in April. Do you get an award for manager of the calendar year, or get extra points? He was 11th last season, which isn’t over performing, it’s about par. Let’s see where he ends up this season after every side has played each other twice. That’s how managers are judged, or at least were until the cult of Ralph started up.
  18. If we’re going down that route, I’d prefer John Terry.
  19. If Ralph got us 8th some of the clowns on here would be pushing for a knighthood. So far, he’s done a worse job than Puel, a better job than pelligrino, and a similar job to mark Hughes. However, it was “all on” them, wasn’t it?
  20. You wouldn’t say that if you worked with their twatty fans
  21. At least Branfoot would have made sure we put some tackles in and made the players put themselves about a bit. I’m pretty sure he’d be giving them some clog tomorrow as well.
  22. People seem to forget this. They were bottom of league 2 with -17 points when he took over. He did every bit as good a job as Nigel Adkins did for us. Before the Russian he had to work for Eddie Mitchell, so he’s used to working for chancers. But I wouldn’t want him myself though.
  23. Depends how you define late 2019. Its laughable that you pick a date that follows 2 straight losses. Newcastle away & West Ham home, both we were poor as fuck. Prior to lockdown we lost 3 out of 4. West Ham away, Burnley at home & Newcastle at home, in all 3 we were fucking woeful. Stop making excuses for the bloke, wake up and smell the coffee.
  24. Imagine how this bunch of gutless pussies will fare once crowds come back in?
