He specifically said a trade deal wouldn’t be bespoke, and it would be based on an existing deal. In light of that, it baffles me that anyone can state “there was never any suggestion that any two deals would be the same”. You’re just clutching at straws. Saying no two deals will be the same and but you can’t have a bespoke deal is contradictory. There are only 2 options, a deal similar to an existing one or a bespoke one. Clearly what’s happened is they wanted to pressure May by threatening something she wouldn’t ever agree to, Canada, but are now ****ting themselves when Boris says “yes please”.
