  3. I see that right on woke leftie Coogan has furloughed his Gardener & housekeeper. Typical, is that really what this scheme was designed to do, save millionaires a few quid. No doubt the lefties on here will be defending him.
  4. I actually knew Brian Tiler & he was a decent man. My dad was heavily involved with a charity & Brian used to be incredibly supportive, attending events & making donations. It was very sad when he passed & im sure Redknapp has been affected badly by it for many years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Interesting that someone else is in the same boat as me regarding their staff . 3 of us voluntarily kept working, whilst the other 7 were furloughed. They then un furloughed anyone who wasn’t in the most vulnerable group, but crucially didn’t ask for any evidence, so only another 2 came back. The next round of furlough they decided that only people that produced a government, hospital or doc shielding letter for them,or someone they live with, will be furloughed. None of the letters have been forthcoming, but loads of excuses have been. Gradually, they’ve all come back to work, despite (in their words) being “at risk”, and they’re all full of tales of how they’ve slipped through the net regarding shielding letters. They’re also all full of tales regarding the fun they’ve had during lockdown, the gardens they’ve tidied up, painting they’ve done, & time they’ve rediscovered the enjoyment of family life. Yes, we volunteered to work, but there’s a definite wedge between the 2 groups. It’s not driven by the volunteers thinking they’re better than the rest or “braver”, it’s just the attitude the furloughed workers have displayed since returning. Only 1 person is anal about the PPE/ social distancing rules at work, the others aren’t,clearly showing some just treated it as one long holiday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. What’s killing me is remoaners going on about “bad faith”, as if Grocer Heath, Thatcher, Major, Blair, Brown, & Cameron were totally up front about our deals and relationships with Europe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Less unionised workforce? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Maybe I’m missing something, but I assumed everyone realises Boris signed a withdrawal agreement. It was ratified by Parliament in January Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The only thing they can have shown bad faith towards is the PD, because the WD was watertight. I believe there was some pony around the PD being the basis of the future agreement. If the UK have shown “bad faith” and gone back on vast swaths of that, then perhaps the EU aren’t as skilled negotiators as the remoaners led us to believe. Perhaps they shouldn’t have signed up to something Boris could go back on. Perhaps they’ll learn a lesson for when the next nation leaves Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Oh dear, how sad, never mind. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Exactly. He was ****ing woeful at West Ham. He’s doing well in France, great, good for him, but we play in England. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. And you had to watch it before that dawned on you? What did you think it would be, an in-depth look at European architecture & culture from middle aged me who want to broaden their horizons after retirement? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Just because you’re scared half to death, doesn’t mean everyone else has to be. I walked the dog on sandbanks beach Sat & Bournemouth beach Sun. everybody I saw was acting in a perfectly reasonable way. We’re breeding a nation of do gooders, Lockdown Mary Whitehouses pointing their fingers at the great unwashed, overcome by moral outrage. The British people have taken the closing of their pubs & social life pretty damn well, they’ve “saved” the NHS from toppling over, they don’t need the self righteous constantly telling them to hide under their beds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Not true though. The chumps that wanted to stop it, split the 48% They had one chance, & they blew it. Should have voted Mays turd through, they’ve handed us a proper Brexit & I for one am extremely grateful, for ultimately, it was the Benn’s, Grievence & Soubry’s of the world that ensured we got there in the end. 15. Rubbish. The British people would never accept leaving, but retaining FOM. Therefore unless The EU dropped one of the founding principles, it was never a goer. We saw what happened when labour went into an election contemplating keeping it. The ERG accounted for about 25% of the votes in the HoC max. we could have had a May BRINO, but the Remainers thought they could stop it altogether. If I was you, it would be them I’m angry with, not the ERG. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I didn’t say you that you didn’t want people to stay at home, you do. The Government, however, do not. They had to change the “stay home” message, because basically, they didn’t want people to “stay home”. It’s not that hard to understand. What would you say if their message was “stay home, go to work”, I’m sure the “I don’t understand” gang would have a field day. There’s not much wrong with the messaging. Personally, I’d have gone with “be sensible” rather than “stay alert”, but people are deliberately being obtuse. They can’t write guidelines for every scenario known to man, nor would I want them to. We don’t need nannying. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Keep “stay at home”, even though you don’t want people to do so. Yeah, great plan. That won’t confuse people, will it? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. It is perfectly clear what the message is. It’s just people pretending they don’t understand it to either, moan about the Government, or do their own damn thing. If you gave people £100 to explain the new guidelines, 99.9% of the population would be able to. Only a half wit would think dropping the “stay at home” bit equates to ending lockdown, and anyone who thinks social distancing has ended, needs to be sectioned. They’re clearly incapable of understanding basic instructions. **** me, do we need to wet nurse everyone? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. No. Must be another one. The Norway he was taking about isn’t in the customs union Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. What do you expect from a Remainer rag..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. What’s your threshold for commenting. Does knowing someone with mild symptoms allow a comment, maybe they could be limited to number of words. Knowing someone asymptomatic- 25 words Mild symptoms-50 words Severe symptoms- 100 words Etc etc. Presumably I’m allowed to comment, having lost someone, so I’ll answer the guys question. The ONS quote 92% of all victims had an underlying health condition, and they put up this on their website. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. If anyone is brainwashed, it’s the people who somehow seem to believe that the EU is an open, tolerant, benevolent organisation. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter now, it’s a settled issue. “ The British people decided, we’re out”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I’d imagine they’ll be a whitewash. Some establishment figure will throw a couple of nobodies under a bus. If I was to bet on it, I’d imagine it’ll eventually dawn on the great unwashed that there was an overreaction & the damage to the economy wasn’t worth the amount of lives saved. However, everybody from the civil service to the Government & via the opposition have a vested interest in justifying the severe lockdown, so this won’t be spelt out in stark terms. Why will this be any different than any other enquiry, they always get away with it. Anyone hoping The Tories & Boris will face a day of reckoning, is going to be severely disappointed. 24. Where did I say there was going to be a massive revival, all I was pointing out was it is possible for an independent country to have a fishing industry. The UK Government in charge of UK fishing, it’s not really that unusual you know. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Believe it or not, i haven’t really got any influence, it’s not really my job to hold politicians to account. It is Sir Kier Starmers & if the Tories were in charge of Welsh health & social care he would be doing so in Wales as well as England. Surely Welsh voters deserve that, after all he’s their voice in the UK Parliament. If it was my job, I’d like to think I’d be above the petty party politics Sir Kier Starmer is indulging in, but we’ll never know. One thing we will know is how this will play in Wales at the next election. Look what happened when Labour took Scottish voters for granted, and then look at Welsh voting trends.
