Party leaders tend to get a bit of a boost in their own constituencies during election campaign, lots of publicity & limelight. I’d be amazed if either lost their seats. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Great to see the Kosovo supporters response to the English today. Of course at the time of the war certain politicians were against our preparations to help these people. Calling it “a return to gunboat diplomacy” & stating that “you can’t bomb your way to peace”. Some people demonstrated on behalf of The Serbs. Had the Serbs continued their ethnic cleansing, a lot of the people making that wonderful gesture today, would have been dead. Thank **** those politicians weren’t in power then. Exactly. You also need to factor in the fact the Tory manifesto won’t be a cluster **** this time around. A polling guru was on the radio stating that most people are looking in the wrong direction regarding Boris’ pathway to victory. Labour are clinging to the hope that Boris can’t take Bolsover and the like. Heavy leave areas that haven’t ever voted in a tory. This bloke reckons that’s wrong. There are (according to him) 31 seats that Corbyn won off the tories that were Tory seats in 2017. Unlike the northern, welsh or midland target seats , these are seats that are used to voting Tory. He claims that in 25 of these seats there is a sizeable leave vote, and if they keep these voters the Lib Dem’s revival means the anti Tory vote will split and let the tories back in. When asked whether a squeeze on the Lib Dem’s will produce the same result as 2017, said no. His reasoning was that a lot of people voted Corbyn to minimise May’s majority (this time vote Corbyn, get corbyn ) but also a lot of their retail policies will frighten these people. Free broadband, free dental check ups, etc, may play well in some areas, but these set of voters in the ex Tory areas will be concerned about the impact of them. Once Corbynomics becomes as scary to pinkos as Brexit, he’s ****ed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The fact that Boris is an unfaithful cad is pretty much factored in. Everybody knows it and provided there’s no corruption this dopey bird won’t derail his campaign. After all Corbyn isn’t whiter than white when it comes to the chicks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wollaston even sponsored a bill mandating an election when an MP switched parties. Carswell & Reckless did, “moderates” didn’t . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good luck to them proving that. What makes you think Nige is a fantasist. Do you think people aren’t offered peerages for political favours. There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind he would have been, but there will be plausible deniability. It goes on all the time. If Ruth Davidson wanted a seat in Westminster, pretty soon there’d be a Lord Mundell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’d rather we trained, paid for and employed our own people, rather than cherry pick the brightest and best from third world countries. It’s expensive to train a doctor or a surgeon, so even soft arsed lefties must see the impact this has on their home countries. It’s a vicious circle, the brightest , youngest and best move away from their poor countries, when they’re the very people needed the most at home. There’s no answer to it, but maybe lefties should stop and think once in a while. I’m pretty sure if we were training thousands of medical students, only for US health providers to poach them once they qualified, they wouldn’t think it was so great. That’s 65,000 staff, including midwives, surgeons, Doctors, that aren’t working in their home countries. I bet most are from countries that can ill afford to lose medical expertise, let alone pay to train them with no benefit to their health service. I guess you don’t care about that, just The British NHS. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Who do you think we are, French? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If you think the NHS is bad now, wait until they’re all working a 4 day week. No proper controls on immigration + staff working 1 day less a week isn’t going to make the service better, no matter how much cash you chuck at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Depends on why. If it was performance related and there was a robust, fair and consistent framework I’d have no issue at all. If it was because I was a 9 Pinter, I’d take legal advice. Some blokes get paid more than other blokes doing the same job, because they’re better at their jobs or better at negotiating their salaries. Is that discrimination? I know you lefties want everybody paid the same, but in the real world they’re not. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

There is no discrimination. It’s against the law to pay a bird less than a bloke doing the same job, that’s all that’s needed. All this gender pay gap is a load of pony. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Why should we be concerned if Scotland leaves the Union
Lord Duckhunter replied to OldNick's topic in The Lounge
We, the people, couldn’t . Just as we couldn’t stop Romania, or Poland joining. Only the Government has a veto. British Government policy was for Turkey to join, in fact the PM & leader of the Remain campaign stated he was “angry at the lack of progress in the negotiations “ before adding that “the UK will do everything it can to help Turkey "pave the road from Ankara to Brussels". Gauke has thrown his toys out of the prom because he wasn’t reinstated despite voting for Boris’ deal. Still, one good thing about this. Proves that Boris was right to pull his deal despite it passing its first stage. Clearly there were people who had no intention of seeing it through and were just playing games when voting for it. With every passing day, Boris’ judgement of people is proving to be right time and time again. In my opinion this is the best shape the party has been in since the great lady departed. Let’s see if the voters agree with me, or the lefties on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Just seen this Corbyn has just called on the government to activate the Bellwin scheme to provide financial support to communities affected by flooding. The Bellwin formula makes funding available immediately to local authorities, such as those dealing with flooding in the Midlands and Yorkshire. An obviously good idea from Jeremy Corbyn. Which is probably why the Prime Minister activated it 3 days ago… Genius....... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The deals are only the exit mechanism. May’s turd could have led to exactly what labour wanted, could have ticked every single one of Starmers “tests”. They voted it down over issues that would be decided during the future relationship negotiations. The ERG vision is a different kettle of fish. They couldn’t get what they wanted from May’s WA as there was no way to a unilateral no deal in the event of trade negotiations going badly. There is now, hence their “support” (for the time being). I’m sure Boris is looking forward to owning his deal. I know I am. He’ll be dancing to the tune of the ERG, rather than sopping wet pinkos. My wing of the party will keep him honest, otherwise he’ll be removed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If you’d offered remainers Theresa’s turd the day after the referendum, they’d have snapped your hand off. It was pretty much the close alignment labour claimed they wanted. My big fear was that this sort of deal would have been sold to the public as Brexit, with people opposing it portrayed as extremists & loons (as Bill Cash etc were during Maastricht). Once the Remain extremists wouldn’t accept any Brexit it came down to a straight choice. FTA or no Brexit. If you offered most Remainers FTA or Theresa’s turd, they’d be no contest. Unless there’s a miracle, it’ll be FTA, with ERG holding Boris’ feet to the fire. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
