  1. She was on QT again last night, auditioning for a role in the next Michael Jackson/ Paul McCartney project. Sgt Peppers Thriller band. She made a right tit of herself again. The highlight of her **** wittery was claiming it’s not right to say that everybody stabbed in London is a drug dealer. Which would have been a good point if somebody had actually said that. http:// Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Amazing that Pep puts up with an “average” centre half isn’t it? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Because there’s an agenda against Southampton. Southgate really prefers Bertrand and thinks Bertrand’s a better player, but because he doesn’t like Southampton, once we qualified he decided to troll the club and it’s supporters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Pony. If Bertrand played exactly the same way for the clubs that have been mentioned he'd have been dropped by those clubs, pure and simple. He had a very poor season, in some games he looked particularly disinterested. Both full backs let themselves down this season, imo. That doesn't mean they're bad players or won't be wanted by other clubs, but their standards were a lot lower than previous seasons. The fact Rose gets a place after hardly playing isn't favouritism or bias , it's acknowledgment of the fact Bertrand hasn't been good enough this season. Southgate would rather take a player that's hardly played, than one that played average. Had Bertrand played this season for Southampton like he did in previous seasons, he'd be on the plane and Rose left at home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. No thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. So let’s get this straight. Les only picks yes men, but when we pick someone who clearly isn’t a yes man, he has nothing to do with the appointment. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Different situations call for different responses. West Ham need to build some sort of bridges with their fan base, the owners are under pressure over the stadium and their general stewardship of the club. The last thing they need from a PR point of view is to appoint someone like Moyes permanently . Everton were never in danger of going down and I don't buy this Big Sam the firefighter going in and saving them. Anyone with any semblance of managerial ability would have kept them up. Fat Sam was a poor choice in the first place imo. Not a good fit. Us on the other hand need stability, need a steady experienced guy for a couple of seasons. Right man and the right time,?whereas the other 2 aren't . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. No, it’s just that the manager ( and the majority of pundits) think Rose is a better player. It’s no conspiracy, no anti saints bias, there’s no agenda. Southgate thinks others are better than our two, it’s that simple. Bertrand could have made himself undroppable by having a great season, he didn’t. His standards dropped, and he’s got himself to blame that he hasn’t done enough. People should take off their red and white glasses and enjoy the World Cup. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Agreed. If McCarthy was in nets for big clubs like Heaton, Pope & Butland are, he’d get the call. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Has there been any neutrals suggesting Bertrand or McCarthy shouldn’t have been left out, because I haven’t heard one. Bertrand got what his performances deserved, dropped. Had FF been dropped earlier, even the back end of last season and McCarthy played like he has done the past few weeks, he’d have been in. Personally, I’ve no complaints on that score. Overall I’m a pretty decent squad given the resources. At least he’s binned the half fit and shown he’s not afraid to make tough choices. Others would have put Wilshire, Lallana & Sturridge in. 11. Nothing to do with money he could earn then? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. ****ing hell its so simple, yet some of you can't seem to grasp it. If we were in league 1 or even the championship, we'd have 4 or 5 of our home grown players in our starting 11. If players are capable of playing regular premier league football at 16,17,18, they will not be in our academy, they'll be at Chelsea or City or someone else's. The game has moved on, even in the 3 or 4 years since Luke Shaw and Chambers emerged. The big clubs are snapping up pretty much all the talent. Occasionally, one may slip through the net, or be unusual in wanting to develop at a smaller club, but the days that 4 or 5 of our own are good enough to play regularly are gone. The step up to the first team is too big for nearly all of our nippers, because the best ones are elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. He offers stability and a decent track record in the top flight of English football. I also think when a bloke comes in with 8 games to go, inheriting a shambles and a side woefully underperforming, and keeps them up, he deserves it. Bar the West Ham game we played pretty well in every game, actually looked liked scoring and played with a structure and tempo missing for 90% of the season. He wouldn't have been my choice a year ago, but so ****ing what. He's done enough to convince me that he's a decent fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Agree with IQ. The post above sums it up perfectly. Hoedt has been woeful pretty much all season, without having the good run that Jack had last season. Yet people want to keep and develop Hoedt and bin Jack. I’d keep both of them, but if one had to go it certainly wouldn’t be Stephens. For a £15 million signing, Hoedts been a major disappointment. 15. He’s a promising player who came on leaps and bounds last season, but has struggled this (as have far more experienced players). I thought he deserved great credit for his performance at Swansea , stepping in for Yoshida he did well. He also did ok on Sunday, but comparing him with stones is pointless, he’s in his first full season, the comparison should be with Stones in his first full season at Everton , not now. He also looks like he’s made of the right stuff, so that bodes well for learning from his mistakes. I’d defo keep, would be short sighted to bin him now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. The top 6 are so good nowadays that the bottom 14 look terrible in comparison. They hold 2 sides of top quality players, which means they don’t really drop a level when they have injuries. In the past players like Delph, Wellbeck, Drinkwater, Vorm, and Llorente would be playing in sides just below the elite, now they’re happy to be part of the elite instead of helping other sides beat the elite. It’s been going like it for years, but it’s quickened as the money has poured in. It’s happening all over Europe, so saying our lack of champions league success proves otherwise is false. Madrid & Barca, Bayern, they’re all doing it. How many titles have Juve won lately. The massive European clubs are further ahead of the have nots than they’ve ever been. Personally I think the standard of our league is extremely high, despite the gap. It’s just the difference is so much bigger than it’s ever been. The technical level of the poor sides has never been as good, there’s internationals throughout the bottom 14. The issue is that negative defensive football is in vogue. Sides just don’t go toe to toe with the big guns like they used to, and more worryingly they don’t against their peers either. We’re having a spell of cagey defensive football, but football is cyclical. Somebody will come along and adapt Klopp or Peps styles to inferior players and that’ll become fashionable. But it’s still just as much of an achievement to finish top 10 as it was 10,15,20 years ago. It’s a good league packed with quality and it’s better now there’s a top 6 as opposed to a top 4 or top 2. 17. Are you Peter Risdale or Peter Storrie. Just because he’s a triffic lad, let’s not get carried away. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. It looks like Neymar is set to leave PSG, he’d be a good fit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I wouldn’t want any manager that won’t work with a DOF. I just think it’s the way to go. Whether Reed is that man, is debatable, but whether we have one is not imo. We need somebody running the football side above the manager, who runs the first team and the first team only. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. “Quite protectionist”, that’s an understatement. One of the bizarre aspects of the whole EU debate is how the EU has managed to be portrayed as some open, free trading, anti protectionist bloc. It couldn’t be any further from that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I’m probably in the minority here, but I wouldn’t want a mass exodus, even though the players have let themselves down for a vast amount of the season. I’d be looking for a couple of tweaks, evolution not revolution. If I could I’d bin Gabbi & Carillo, I’d keep long as he offers a different option, and bring in 2 strikers, one of which will be our number one, no doubts about it. The vast amount of any money needs to be spent on this, and it needs to be quality. Whether Gallagher is up to being the other is down to Hughes, I haven’t seen him play enough to really comment. The centre 3 are plenty good enough, given decent tactical set up and management. Tadic, Redmond I’d keep, so replace Boufal with a wide midfield man. JWP is an ok squad man, but he’s at the crossroads of his career. Whether Reed is good enough for a squad place is again something I can’t really say. Ideally I’d like to keep the full backs, but can’t see it. As frustrating as they are, they are internationals and have experience and ability. A proper manager will get more out of them than Pell did. Pied will obviously go. The centre halves is the interesting one for me. I like Stephens & Bednarek , think they’ve got potential. They’ve played ok under Hughes. Hoedt is the difficult one. He’s shown signs of improvement under Hughes, plays on the left of a 3, maybe worth keeping. Which leaves us with Yoshida. We need a leader in there, in the centre, Yoshida ain’t that. We need somebody to help the youngsters, look at how much better they’ve been with a dominate keeper, add a central defender whose the same and maybe the 3 youngsters can flourish. Stephens/ Bednarek can take the right side. Therefore, if such a player exists, I’d like to see a centre half, that could also play on the left of a 3, but mainly plays centrally. So I’d options would be; Right hand side Stephens/ Bednarek or even Yoshida . Central; Yoshida/ new bloke. Left; Hoedt/ new bloke. That’s 5 centre halves, maybe a bit too heavy, but that’s what I’d do. The keeper situation is simple, keep them both. FF is perfectly acceptable as back up. Basically I’ve added a proper striker, a real deal. A dominate centre half, and a replacement for Boufal. Plus possibly a couple of nippers up front and in midfield, and full back . That’s it. I don’t see the point in throwing the baby out with the bath water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. He’s a **** poor manger who did the best he could in every game. Some of the players didn’t do the best they could every game, so in my eyes they’re the ****s, not him Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. **** me, you’re a hard task master. 8th & Cup final, underachieving. We’ve had a lot of under achieving managers the past 40 years. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. The EU need to get its head out of the sand otherwise we won’t be the last leaving. If they don’t address freedom of movement they’re ****ed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. The way he’s played 80% of the season, he doesn’t deserve a song. Well, maybe this one “Go on now, go, walk out the door Just turn around now, Cause you're not welcome anymore” Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
