  1. Nah, penalty shoot out would be better. Lovren needs to score or we're through Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That Belgium defeat could be the greatest defeat in English football history. **** me, we could end up winning the World Cup by just defeating one major nation. How are the Belgians feeling now . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Do people still think we should have gone for it against Belgium Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I reckon I’d look good playing alongside Godin & Gimenez Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. 1970 ****ed all over '90. '90 was pretty average, just because the fat lad cried everybody forgets how poor it was. The football was pretty dire overall and the final was woeful. Agree that this one is shaping up nicely. '70 '82 '78 '98 Are my favourites. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You're arguing about 2 different things. Is he the worst player that's ever worn a Saints shirt, that cost money to sign. Clearly not. Is he the worst £ for £ signing in terms of value for money, probably (although Kerry Dixon and some others will give him a run for that particular award). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I get plenty of joy watching thanks, I just don’t go all soft arsed over semi final defeats. Open top bus parade after ‘90 just ****ing pathetic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Underperformed in ‘96 at home when there were some pretty average sides involved. Everybody wet themselves over beating Holland, but it was pretty much a dead rubber, both sides went through. One of Germany’s poorer sides won it. ‘90 was a mess until a last min win against the mighty Belgium and then 2 pens to scrape past a naive Cameroon. The reaction to those losing campaigns was quite frankly embarrassing, nearly as bad as the continued whinging about a hand ball 30 years ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I don’t understand why people aren’t absolutely delighted with how things panned out. Before the tournament it looked like Germany or Brazil in the quarter finals, to have ended up with Switzerland or Sweden has to be a dream. Yes Columbia is a tougher game than Japan, but **** me the next ones a lot easier than Brazil. If it was an FA cup run you’d take Crystal Palace , followed by Derby or Leeds as opposed to Charlton followed by Man City to get into a semi final. For me you’re in it to win it. I don’t care if we lose to Columbia in the round of 16 or Brazil in the round of 8, they’re just the same to me. Just because one involves beating Japan doesn’t suddenly make it a better campaign. That’s been the problem for years, people still wet their pants over us beating Cameroon in ‘90. Still bang on about ‘96, when the truth is we underperformed in both tournaments. If you don’t get to the final, you might as well go home with the Germans, losing in a quarter or semi should be meaningless, not open top bus parade time ala ‘90. Beat 2 out of 3 average sides and we’re one game against top quality opposition from a final, beat a useless side and we’ve got 2 top quality sides to beat to achieve that. 10. This is it for me. I don’t really care how talented he is in France, Spain, Switzerland or wherever, he may just as well be talented at Basketball. Until we move the club and play in a league he’s talented in, he’s pretty much a waste of time for us. I’m willing to give anyone a second chance, but if you’re not good enough you’re not good enough. Nothing I’ve seen from him and nothing I’ve seen in Hughes coaching career ( in terms of developing Mavericks ala Bally with Matt), makes me think he’ll come good. If he does I’ll be the first to put my hands up and say I was wrong. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. God, what a wet bunch of supporters we’ve got. The bloke refused to warm up when we were absolutely desperate and you’re still all gooey eyed over him. Blokes a complete and utter waste of space, he had a run of starts after the WBA game & did **** all. Stop making excuses for the show pony. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Pony, he missed loads of sitters for Utd. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. God, some of you are complete ****ing idiots. Great result, we now have Columbia, Switzerland or Sweden standing before us and a semi final. Who wouldn’t have taken that beforehand? I want us to win it so bad, not just because I’m a proud Englishman but because it’ll show some of you lot up for the plums you are. Every single player deserves to be there, every single one. 14. He’s been average from day one. He just had a decent defence in front of him. Even when he was keeping clean sheet after clean sheet, I don’t recall brilliant saves, the other sides just didn’t hit the target. How many times have you seen him make saves that you think “how did he save that”. A dozen maybe, and 10 of those were in two games (Liverpool & Arsenal) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I only turned on at the end and he was doing my ****ing head in. After goal difference, goals scored, head to head, yellow cards is better than tossing a coin. Mind you, Lawro could do it as he’s a top tosser Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. What did you want them to do, attack and maybe get caught on the break or play normally and maybe pick up 2 bookings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I’m still waiting for Gaston the last great one with “potential “ to come good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Genius Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Danny Murphy, what a ****ing helmet. Doing my head in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. He’s not in the same class, big fanny won’t be haunting anyone. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. ****ing hell, I bet you’re a laugh down the ale house. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Put him on ignore. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Manchester City home. Mane got a hat trick but Tadic was sublime that day. Pass and touch like Bally that day, no higher compliment than that. Wonderful performance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Exactly. Although it’s not my pocket, it’s the shareholders who benefit. I’m just an employee who manages other employees. I’ve posted many times that the 3 things that suppress the poorest wages are 1. Immigration 2. Working families tax credits 3. Minimum wage. Immigration speaks for itself, it increases supply. Tax credits just subsidise employers and the minimum wage has become a benchmark rather than a floor. There’s absolutely no incentive to increase wages, and the minimum wage suppresses wage competition. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. The ones with families have it topped up with benefits or the other half works full time, bringing in an equal amount. The single ones tend to be nippers or immigrants. The ones that voted and have discussed it,are pretty much all Leavers. Whelks parody is unfortunately wide of the mark as more than half of them are chicks. No titty pics I'm afraid.
