The full backs just didn't cut it, the past couple of season tour width has come from there . Targett & Maya just don't give us that . The whole build up is too pedestrian and obvious. Victors passing is shocking , sub standard and mane disappears for spells of the game. We were totally dominating when we scored , but seemed to get sloppy , we then just knocked it too long over and over again . Wtf is JWP all about ? What's his job , to run around nearly making tackles, nearly completing passes and nearly influencing the game . What is he , this isn't the NFL with special teams . Steve D is a far superior player . JWP is becoming a myth , young players are inconsistent , brilliant one miniute , average the next . When's he ever played well, when have we ever walked out excited by his performance , it's all hype . Long ran around like a headless chicken , giving away petty fouls that enabled them to waste time . Give ****ing Juanmai ( or whatever his name is) a decent run . I think Caulker will be ok , don't understand the moaning about him .

It depends on the player. Some are professional enough to get on with it and play, Morgan, Stones , but can you honestly see Mane being like that . Or will he sulk, cause issues and pick up " injuries" every other game? I'm sure Ron will be pragmatic and les will back him.

When are some people going to get their heads around modern football and stop this constant whining over transfers. It is going to keep happening ,clubs are allowed to be interested in our players, every single player will want to move if a bigger club comes in and , more importantly, the board, Ron,Les,The Tea lady, uncle tom cobbly and all at club, do not want it to happen. It is not their fault, it is not part of our business model to sell players, stop blaming them. The powers that be have been very smart and employed a manager who comes from a country & culture where this happens and people just get on with it. No throwing their toys out of pram like some English managers do , just move on and get on with it. I suggest some of ours supporters adopt the same attitude instead of crying about it every time a player is linked with a move away.

The difference between the election of IDS & Corbyn is that IDS got enough legitimate mp votes to go forward to the party membership . Corbyn didn't , but for some bizarre reason he was " lent " votes . What bunch of ****ing half wits decided that was a good idea? The reason labour people didn't sign up to vote in IDS wasn't because they're principled and would do such a thing , it was probably because the Tories being slightly more competent , didn't let any tom , **** or Harry pay £3 to " join". Another great idea from the team wanting to run the country , I wouldn't let them run a bath , let alone the country . What makes me laugh is for all the pleas from the labour Establishment for all the horror and pain they're going through , it's all their own fault . Burnham, Kendall & Cooper should be the contest , nobody in the real world would not vote labour in 2020 because Corbyn wasn't on the ballot 5 years earlier, but plenty will if he's leader. It's the political version of shooting yourself in the foot, then reloading and shooting the other foot .

But PMQ's is not an oxford debate or even a TV debate , it's purely and simply a chance to get a decent sound bite on the 6pm news and to rally your mp's . Cameron will have mountains of sound bites , quotes from corbyns past and other stuff like return of clause 4 , add to that the fact that maybe a dozen high profile mp's would refuse to serve in his shadow cabinet Cameron will have a field day . There is no way people like Chucka, Alan Johnson , hunt or even Harperson will be seen cheering Jezza on or even touring the studios spinning for him . When most people watch the news , who are they going to see cheering Corbyn on , Abbott and other assorted leftie nutters . Add to that people like Galloway coming back into the fold, it'll be a disaster however well he does at pmqs. A lot of politics is perception rather than any sort of facts . Corbyn and Watson would be an absolute car crash with the swing seats they need to win.

I don't get this +Arnhem game criteria . The game was bang in the middle of holiday season , there were clearly going to be people who couldn't attend. You could have been to every away game last season , been in Greece or Turkey for the first game and bang goes your priority for future Europa League games . No wonder people passed on tickets to mates or paid but never attended , what else were we expected to do . Yes , I was one of them . I did 10 aways last season but was on holiday for the game . I was not going to miss the opportunity of future Europa league games by " doing the right thing" and not buying one . I passed my ticket on to my brother in laws mate who did 0 aways last year, he got a ticket that somebody with 5 or 6 aways should have got. Had the first game not been pivotal to future Europa league games I doubt I'd have bothered to get one .

I read the other day that Michael Foot was convinced the polls were wrong in '83. The reason being that his meetings were packed out, and everywhere he went he was greeted with enthusiastic crowds . The same thing is happening here , Corbyn is extremely popular with a large minority of the country and a majority of labour activists .The problem is under first past the post being extremely popular with even 30% of the electorate will not translate into the seats they need . Apart from Scotland where else are they going to gain seats ? Even if they won every single Sweaty seat, they're still short of a majority . Where are they going to take seats off the Tories with Corbyn in charge? Corbyn is far more popular with the grassroots of his party and nearer to their politics than Cameron is to his, but elections aren't won like that . Until the electrol system is changed electing someone like Corbyn is just plain barmy .

Listening to a press bloke talking about transfers on the radio today . Right at the end they started speculating about players and john O shea's name came up . The guy said I've heard Everton are interested in him if Stones goes , he then said VVD would be a great buy for them but " everybody knows he's off to Southampton" . I know it's just one bloke , but he said in a real convincing matter of fact way. Not " I think Southampton are in prime position " or " I think he'll go to Southampton " but a very clear " everybody knows he's off to Southampton"

FFS , we have some right twts as supporters , both here and at the game . Every single premier league side will have a bad day at the office somewhen , particularly in August . It's an unforgiving league and you pay the price for poor performances . Today was poor once we went 1-0 down , but there's been a total over reaction on here and by some coming out the ground . Looked better second half with the 2 strong holding players , get a centre half in to replace maya and I'd like to see juanmi given a run instead if Tadic or Long . I can't believe people don't want to play them whilst the gap is so big. We're not going to get much higher and they're not going to get much lower.What do people want, to wait till they're top half of league one or god forbid Championship, it'll be a lot harder game then. This won't happen unless Ron wants it to happen. No way on earth the club would sell the skipper from under him , as that would totally undermine him. No way Fonte would swap Saints for Villa , even for a pay rise ( as I doubt it'll be big enough) . That leaves 2 explanations , agent putting pressure on club for new deal or Ron feeling he can bring in an upgrade . Maybe Ron doesn't rate him as highly as some of us and now the ships settled and he's got his feet firmly under the table Ron feels its time to say " thanks, but goodbye" . Bill Shankly used to say that one major part of good management is spotting when a player tipped over the top of the hill before anyone else noticed, and getting rid. Maybe Ron feels this is the case here. One thing is for sure, he knows more about centre halves than any of us. I'll be gutted if he goes, but trust Ron & Les will do what's right for the club.

So we have the laughable situation where anyone can pay £3 and have a vote and an mp on the ballot, looking like he's going to win, that only qualified because of " borrowed" nominations. To think some wanted these clowns to run the country, they can't even run a leadership race. A basic principle of political leadership is you have to carry the confidence of many MPs. Its why the Tories only sent 2 MPs to the membership , its why labour have this threshold . By manipulating JC onto the ballot they could end up with a leader with only a handful of MPs supporting him,and a vote that was gerrymandered for £3 . Did nobody realise this, are they that stupid? Its complete and utter incompetence, thank god they don't run the country.

We've got some clowns on here. Morgan is one of the best players in the league in his position, how's do we " upgrade" from a champions league international? If there was an " upgrade " available wouldn't Man Utd have signed him instead of Morgan . Same with NC , best English RB . Do people think its easy to " upgrade" FFS. Its easy if you're Stoke,Palace, WBA , as you've got some ****e to upgrade . We've sold or not resigned genuine class , international players, used to the premier league. It'll be a fantastic achievement to stand still this season.

Happy with that . Tough start after Europa league , no Ron and toon with new manager . Not easy , especially as we defended so poorly . Davis mom , Mane both ends of the scale , world class one minute , hopeless the next . 2 great goals . Targett out of his depth IMO , should have gone with Maya at full back & caulker in middle . Turning point was Maya's chance , you can not miss that . Then targett gives a poor ball from resulting corner and we're caught . Had we gone 2-1 up , we were set up to hit them on break . I thought Colback did well for them , a couple of great bits of defending at the end , one block and also tracked a dangerous run from Mane . All in all decent result
