Absolutely horrific performance all round (you come to expect it from our defence) including Ralph. I fear that the equally horrific transfer window is going to come back and bite us. So they aren't average? Must be why so many top 10 clubs are clambering for their services. I don't disagree with Lighthouse's later point that Yoshida is now one of our best defenders but that says more about the rest of our defence than about Yoshida imo.

Why ludicrous? Targett, Yoshida, Stephens, Vestergaard are all incredibly average. If we genuinely want to progess they need replacing.

Im with Whelk. I thought both were poor too. Stephens distribution was dreadful. I expect pretty much the whole defence to be cleared out in the summer with the exception of Bednarek and the kids. Definitely a point gained tonight.

Really good post, so many so quick to write players off if they aren't instantly brilliant. I believe that some on here think that playing Football Manager is like real life football management.

Agree with that - we looked unfit under Hughes so clearly it will take some time to get the players up to the right levels especially with games coming thick and fast.

If all 4 of those went I wouldn't be that bothered tbh - we desperately need some new faces.

Had a feeling we would win today and it has been an awful long time since I had any confidence in Saints winning a game - what a difference Ralph has made in under 3 weeks - get in!

Within 10 days Ralph has managed to galvanise the players and fans. First game I've really enjoyed today for months - we are a team again, with work rate, fight and a tactical plan. Absolutely elated.

Absolutely 100% in favour - for years I've thought it gives the away side an advantage in shooting towards their fans in the second half. They should be on the side somewhere.

If they aren't good enough what does it matter how bad they are?

We could have a thread like this for about 20 of the players tbf. There are a number that simply aren't good enough.
