  1. Scott Hiley (I think) clearing the ball from under the bar against Blackburn in the great escape season.
  2. We are not even half way through the transfer window FFS. Par for the course for you though as you have normally made your mind up by half time at how c**p Saints are and how the players are rubbish etc etc. More often than not we then come back to win and you disappear. I trust that the transfer window will follow a similar pattern. It really is about time you learnt the meaning of patience.
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2002635/Tal-Ben-Haim-sue-Portsmouth-1-4m-unpaid-wages.html Please stop, my sides are hurting, can't take much more. Potential transfer embargo looms......
  4. The same place I got the cosmos collar information. I have no reason to doubt what I have been told.
  5. The club crest is not changing, just reverting back to the pre-125 anniversary version.
  6. Opinion or fact? I am merely stating my opinion.
  7. I'm not saying he is a better player at this moment. Do I think he will be? Yes, for the reasons outlined previously. There is hardly a gulf between some teams in League 1 and the Championship so again I think it is valid to compare the two at 17. Anything higher is a huge step up granted.
  8. Yes, obviously.
  9. If you have a football brain then the quality of the opposition is irrelevant as I believe we will see in the coming years as Oxo progresses. Until that happens then of course our respective views are conjecture.
  10. I didn't say he didn't play well. Sometimes when you see a young player you just know that he has got it (and so do the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd etc) such as Theo, Bale, Oxo. It is fairly obvious to me that Oxo's decision making at 17 is better than Theo's was at 17 - this actually has nothing to do with the quality of the opposition.
  11. Agreed but it is perfectly valid to compare both at 17.
  12. You need to re-read my post - the clue is in comparing them at 17. HTH.
  13. When Chamberlain is Walcott's age and playing for England he won't spend the game running up blind alleys like Theo does - the big difference between Chamberlain now and Walcott at 17 is decision making. I am not sure Theo's has got any better - as he ages and loses his pace it does make you wonder whether he will be able to re-invent himself as someone such as Giggs has done.
  14. Me too - were under 11's free then also?
  15. You didn't witness the debacle at Newcastle then shortly before the allegations gave Lowe a very convenient get out - we were very clearly on our way down and many Saints fans who were there that day were calling for him to go.
  16. A successful season in the Championship would see him double in value and possibly us promoted - would be madness to sell now.
  17. I had the same problem. I followed the instructions on the link below in Sky Services and amended picture size to 16:9. Previously I had been trying to adjust via the TV controls but it seems Sky was the issue. All good now - hope it helps. http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/tv/standard-sky-box/picture-problems/adjust-aspect-ratio-to-fit-TV-screen/
  18. Lol - as the song goes - Giggs, Giggs will sleep with a tart again.
  19. Exactly, lol at that c*ck Mitchell and to those Bompey fans who were crowing at being above us in the league back in December, shhhhhh.
  20. I can see them doing a Swindon next season and being embroiled in a relegation fight.
  21. Agree. Connolly is quality, worth the risk.
  22. The same Wenger that bleated when Barca did exactly that....complete hypocrisy.
  23. Exactly, the papers will be as desperate to "sell him" this summer as they were in January.....exclusive after exclusive which all ultimately turned out be be b*llocks. From the factual stuff we know, the club want him to stay, he wants to stay and his parents are happy for him to stay - on this basis I don't think we should be worried although I bet the tabloid papers won't report any of the post match interviews to this effect as it will not fit in with their "sell him/sell papers" agenda.
  24. Just remembered another bad experience - Wigan's old ground Springfield Park, terracing in front of a big grass bank in the away end.
  25. Firs Park East Stirling was bad, massive concrete wall at one end - the game against Arbroath was pretty poor too. In about 1993 I went to a Welsh Cup game - Merthyr Tydfil v Swansea in the away end. Terrible ground still with a metal cage but the atmosphere was mental, Cardiff fans turned up and started fighting with the Merthyr and Swansea fans (who were already fighting with each other). To top it all, in the Swansea end some Welsh nationalists started fighting with other Swansea fans who had put up a Northern Ireland flag with "Swansea Loyal" on it. The most hostile atmosphere I have ever experienced at a football match and there was probably only about 3000 people there.
