Chamberlain to Arsenal or Liverpool £10m
Katalinic replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
There is a difference between being a selling club and a player wanting to go - whereas under previous regimes we have actively touted players in order to balance the books/pay dividends to shareholders I am sure we are not doing this with either AOC or AL. However, if a player wants to go in this day and age then he will get his way - best to accept it, get the optimum deal, invest the money in replacements and move on. As for no longer going just because a player is sold - behave. -
Yep, as quickly as possible back down to SMS to sign permanently.

I am sure it was Jason Dodd who told us to be careful of the slippery walkways over the tannoy at the Hudersfield game.

Pentland Brands?

Nice to see Nicola in the tunnel at the end clapping a good performance.

The Virgin St.Mary's Stadium....

I enjoyed seeing the Brentford player who managed to tackle himself whilst shooting - sadly, that was the highlight of the match for me.

This could really f**k Plymouth Argyle - I would imagine investors were only sniffing around at the thought of a successful bid.
-
Lol - Qatar. The Isle of Wight should have put in a bid - at the end they could have ripped down the stadia and transported it to a third world state (Portsmouth).

A corrupt organisation awards it to a corrupt country - no surprises there. Abramovic's presence says it all.......

Wednesday takeover complete - Dave Allen agrees deal with Mandaric

Wonder what plans are in place if he goes down for tax evasion. -
Actually I have never booed a Saints player in my life so suggest you make less assumptions in future and for the record, petulant works just fine.
-
I didn't think McLean did too badly either - with better players around him he could be a handful.

Looks like Puncheon won't be back in a hurry....this type of petulant comment tells us much about the individual I think. Some players would want to stay and prove the manager wrong, others will jump from club to club blaming others for their own shortcomings. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23899784-puncheon-is-already-much-happier-as-a-lion-than-a-saint.do?

Harding has been poor for weeks - big mistake not dropping him. This team needs a shake up for next week.
-
I know what you mean - I always feel like we will win at home but away from home we always seem capable of a poor result.
-
Probably with a non-promotion exit clause I would imagine - sensible move for all concerned.

Are you Pardew and Burley's love child?
-
What they fail to grasp is that this thread has just been an amusing interlude to kill the time as the balance of power of the south coast shifts back to where it should rightfully sits. So you have finally been taken over? So what, I am looking forward to over taking you again - you know it is going to happen.

Although a very decent man I think what he went through has made many fans forget the situation we were in at the time of his departure - when he was put on "gardening leave" many Saints fans were calling for his head following some poor performances, topped off by a complete collapse up at Newcastle. I don't think he was doing a particularly great job at the time of his departure and like it or not, Hoddle came in and improved performances significantly.

Sorry if this has been covered but notice we have had a new GK coach for the past few games - it looks like Jim Stannard, can anyone confirm?

The standard of Scottish football summed up in a sentence.

The last decent corner taker we had was Le Tiss and since leaving The Dell our corners have been awful. Under successive managers since the move to SMS our corners haven't improved one bit - I doubt we have averaged more than 1 or 2 goals a season from them. The last thumping headed goal I remember from a corner was against Wolves a few years back by Alex Pearce when he was on loan from Reading.
