Only 4? Boo, AP out.
-
I can't believe what player in their right mind would want to go there at the moment.
-
Lol at Scarecrow Cotterill after the Cardiff game - "take the goals away and it looked like a draw". Really?
-
And on the finances point, it is clear that we are investing heavily in the academy structure (as posted yesterday). If this investment means that we have to take players on loan then so be it - this approach should pay dividends in the future - what is better, invest £2 million in the academy or on a player that may or may not work out? No risk loans to boost the squad numbers is a sensible approach allowing us to use the money in other areas such as youth development. The short-termism of some posters on this board continues to amuse.

Southend fan posting on an Aldershot fans website seems to think that AP was watching Anthony Grant at the Shots v Southend game on Saturday. Apparently he had a poor game much to their relief. -

Luton fans seem to think it is Oxford who are after him. -
Maybe we could do something as a tribute for next home game?
Katalinic replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Agree - something like this that could be used in the future as we hopefully celebrate success would remind us all that without Markus none of it would be happening. -
RIP - Thank you for saving our club

Yesterday my 11 year old was actually allowed to keep the cap from the Coke bottle she bought - common sense seems to have finally realised it is difficult to throw a cap from the Chapel to the away end.
-
In that 4-2-3-1 formation I agree we could do worse than push Connolly out further on the right.
-
Do you mean Puncheon as an attacking CM Phil or keep him on the right wing?
-
I think what this thread shows is that generally seems to agree we need a right winger, back up for Lambert and CM. This would give us the ability and variety to break these teams down.
-
I agree we need to mix it up but we also need to get the basics and balance right first. There were some fantastic crosses coming in from the left yesterday but too few times no-one to attack the ball. Out and out wingers with pace will stretch games late on against "park the bus" teams which I think was what delldays post was asking for opinions on.
-
That will never happen when you are playing a left footed player on the right who always has to cut inside. Yesterday highlighted the need for a right winger and cover for Lambert. I liked Antonio but if the £500k reports are true then I should think that there are better players for the money. I also think Waigo would have just given us something different yesterday also which we were crying out for.
-
The way to play these teams is to stretch them - the only way of doing this is the effective use of wingers - preferably ones with the ability to get the by-line and cross.
-
I just wish we had a right footed right winger to get to the by-line and cross. Having said that there wasn't much to aim at today.

The HMRC QC had an Ali Dia.

That will teach me to speed read.
