  1. I was thinking the same thing myself... I was pretty dissaponited with the place... imo, the Millenium stadium was a lot more impressive.. Wembley felt dark and dingy...which I guess is down to the small opening in the roof... I can see why they have problems with the pitch... Utter waste of £750m
  2. And a proper one.. orriginal is about 11k wide..
  3. My handy work in the window of the Chinese resteraunt by Wembley way...
  4. Thanks for that.. was having a p1ss at the time and completly missed it...
  5. You may thank me for starting those...
  6. Good god... I don't think I've ever seen a such a fine collection of men in one place.... Lol!!! Tempted to phone up for the bit where they kick balls into the hole thing and give ZERO as my guess on the amount they will score... I hope to god they have some oxygen masks to hand...
  7. They can plead all they like.. O'hara cannot play as on loan players cannot under any circumstances play against their parent club in any competition in this country..
  8. Right here it is Is the player on Loan? Yes. They must get Permision from their parent club to play in the competition No. They can play. Is the game against their Parent club? No. They can play Yes. They cannot play. That's it. It's simple. Like someone said these rules were brought in after Lua Lua put Newcastle out.
  9. Yes, but that's saying they can play in the competition as a WHOLE. When they come up against their parent club they CANNOT play in THAT specific match.
  10. you guys are getting mixed up here.. Loan players cannot play in cup games unless permision is given by the owning club. So Pompey would have got permision for him to play in the FA cup as it's of little interest to the Russian club. O'hara was refused premission for the first FA cup games as he was coming to the end of his loan spell at Pompey and he may have moved either back to Spurs or another club where he would have been able to play. He extended his loan for the season so Spurs let him play against us as he wouldn't be going back to spursor another club. HOWEVER, if those two clubs manage to come up against each other in league OR cup the player CANNOT play under any circumstances, no matter what the clubs say as it's an FA rule that covers all games and competitions
  11. I don't think so. IIRC with loans you tend to pay a fee up front which will cover the players wages... if this wasn't the case they would have shipped all the loanees back sharpish..
  12. It's great fun! Does anyone else do it for fun? I used to have a few characters on the daily echo website that would argue amongst themselves, good way to while away the hours.. I've got afew accounts on some of the Pompey boards, pretending to be a skate.... It's the simple things...
  13. Utterly pointless PR move, FA rules state that a loanee cannot play against his parent club in any competition.. doesn't matter what Grant or 'Arry say...
  14. I think I might but a sarcy letter with it...
  15. So, Grant says they can't play Dindane because they'd have to pay £4m and taht "Portsmouth can't even pay £4 at the moment..." on Solent this morning... IS anyone else tempted to send him a cheque in the post for £4???
  16. Oh well... anyway, they should get the points deduction later today as the Premier League are meeting today to ratify it.
  17. Hang on, that tattoo's on his face ain't even real! They're bl00dy transfers! Hahahahahahaha
  18. It's exactly the same quality, they have an iso standard to adhere too.. The lower quality stuff is just a rumour.... probably started by the supermarkets competitors...
  19. It could be those pesky bank files at work again...
  20. The litmus test would be to see how well that Hedge fund at Coventry is doing....
  21. We're a massive club in this division, a big club in the Championship and an Average club in the Premiership.
  22. Hahah Old Mutual???? Hahaha I worked for them for 4 years or so back in the 90's.... Lord help Pompey.....expect anyone of non SA heritage to replaced by a SA within months of the takeover.....
  23. You 'aint mad eye stu are ya??
  24. They probably rent them and have to pay each month for the amount of copying/printing done. Standard practice.
  25. why don't we reclaim some land from the port and build a massive new stadium there? It would be good if it included a hotel and looked a bit like a toilet.. oh....
