Disagree. They still have to show the talent to get the upgrade or no one will want them. If he ends up at Man U then good for him. If no big club is interested then he might end up knocking around on loan at some middling European club, which isn’t what he wants. Had we actually been anything other than ****e for the last two years he might be asking to stay.
