  1. Hahahaha! Good one.
  2. Sounds a bit odd. Staying at Celtic would have been his best bet if that's what he wanted. Anfield is one of the quietest grounds I've been to, apart from the quaint little ritual sing-song at the start. I reckon his agent has ascertained that Liverpool are the only club willing to spend approximately the sort of money we are after and is trying to convince him it's his best bet. Poor little Virgil - too feeble to stand up to being used by his agent.
  3. If you read the article you will note that the author can too!
  4. If we're going to play an attacking 4231 at home (which seems to be the plan as far as anyone can tell) then I would favour this: Gabbi-------Boufal-------Redmond/Tadic --------------Austin--------------- Whilst Gabbi might be better centrally than out wide, we need players on the pitch who can take chances. Obviously the supporting three can interchange during the match. Personally, though, I think we should be aiming to get Boufal on the ball in central positions as much as possible. I think Tadic is much better out wide than he is central and building the team around Tadic at number 10 would be a mistake. If we want to play tighter away from home then you probably stick Davis or JWP in on the right or central and leave out Gabbi or Austin (probably start with Gabbi and leave Austin as a sub). The only way you can really play both Gabbi and Austin as a front two is if you go 4-4-2 (including diamond variation) or 3-5-2 but then you probably leave out two of Redmond, Tadic and Boufal.
  5. He's introducing Ralph to his friend, Micro Soft.
  6. His holiday looks simply fabulous. Totally ferocious.
  7. Exactly this.
  8. Agreed. As things stand, top half would be a good achievement.
  9. Yes.

That's a shame. I think he will be a really good player.

Is he injured? Anyone know wahgwan?
  12. You're not that keen then?
  13. This is true.
  14. I disagree. We can still be a platform club for players but what we can't allow is players to sign a six year contract one summer then moan because they can't leave the next. We also can't back down having submitted a complaint about Liverpool. It would be a compete shambles.
  15. We can, can we? What's our cause of action?
  16. Local substation is probably a matter for the distribution company rather than the National Grid. Not that it matters, but I'm feeling pedantic.
  17. The £23million throw-in.
  18. We cannot sell him to Liverpool unless the price is astronomic (ie. £85mill +). It will make the club look utterly pathetic, having complained about them tapping him up. Long-term it would be an awful move and sends all the wrong signals. I've got no problem players joining us with a view to moving on after a couple of successful seasons. Experience tends to support the contention that this is a better model than that employed by a number of other PL clubs. What we do need to do though, is retain some control over when we let those players go and we can't do that if we make public complaints then cave-in anyway.
  19. I think our priorities should be a mobile striker with a decent touch and a midfielder to complement Romeu. STRIKER I would release Long (unreliable) and Gallagher (I think he's got promise but I'm being told I have to release two players and if I release Austin I'm pretty short on goal-scorers if the new guy doesn't work out. Gabbi obviously is not up for release. Sign: Iheanacho MIDFIELD Release Reed and Clasie. I actually quite like both of them and I thought Clasie should have played more last season but they don't really complement Romeu, Davis and JWP. Romeu obviously needs to be kept and Davis is valuable to the squad. JWP has a higher potential than either of them. Sign: Ramires (persuade him that China is ****e).
  20. Everton's finances are far more interesting than ours.... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/dec/29/vibrac-jg-funding-riverdance-everton-shadow-investor-mystery
  21. Yes, it would be too far fetched. There was no "Virgin Island holding co". There was a company in BVI called Vibrac, which lent money to a number of English clubs, including us. No one knows who owns it, so it could be Kat, but that would seem more than a little unlikely.
