  1. Ronaldo just fell over. It was shocking refereeing, especially having given a penalty for a clear dive by Suarez.
  2. He's right. It's a contradiction. It's nonsense.
  3. OK. The atmosphere was pretty good though.
  4. The atmosphere was pretty good yesterday.
  5. Nonsense. Gabbiadini's movement makes space for the likes of Tadic and JWP to get on the end of things in the box, which happened yesterday. There was nothing wrong tactically, it was just bad finishing. Or rather, it was the level of finishing that we can reasonably expect from that team of players, most of whom have proven over a reasonable period to be poor finishers.
  6. I'd bring Lemina and Boufal in for Redmond and JWP.
  7. It's not strikers that are the problem with Gabbi and Austin fit, it's the lack of goals from the five players behind them and in front of the back four.
  8. Absolutely correct.
  9. Not sure how you can single out Yoshida. Stephens is the one liable to cost us a goal.
  10. Pretty much like last season. We were just lucky today that we were playing completely useless opposition. Our players need to find their shooting boots pretty quickly because we'll ship goals against anyone half decent.
  11. Exactly. Turn up with the same eleven players, you're going to get roughly the same results.
  12. Exactly, of course not!
  13. Sanchez is nursing a knock this weekend as well....
  14. Oh yes, I agree with this too. The average man on the street comes armed with all the gravitas of a comprehensive education and that's the last thing that is needed.
  15. It's partly a lack of education. Most football ex-pros of current punditry age would have had barely any formal schooling and are often from disadvantaged parts of the country. Compare their output to ex-pro cricket and rugby pundits and it is hardly surprising that those with a decent education (even when gained at a minor public school or a solid grammar school) are far more comprehensible and reasoned.
  16. Exactly. The best football pundits are Tim Vickery, James Richardson etc. but they get shunted into obscure slots so mouth-breathing dinlows like Sutton and Wright can spew their intestinal smear over the airwaves.
  17. Nice synopsis of recent posts / media reports AR-10. Thanks.
  18. I reckon he'll be on the bench. Revised prediction: FF CS MY JS RB OR SD JWP NR DT/SB MG Sub: ST/PG, JP, JB, ML, DT/SB, CA, SL Means both PEH and Clasie miss out on the squad altogether, along with Targett, McQueen, Gardos and Gallagher.
  19. ****ing early kick off against Everton. Load of ****e. And the Brighton game being moved to Sunday is a crock of ****e too.
  20. Come off it. Van Dijk Yoshida Romeu Gabbiadini Cedric Bertrand Redmond all much more consistent.
  21. That's totally inspiring. I'm off to punch a horse.
  22. So, if US or S. Korea strikes first China will apparently get stuck in on I'm so Ronery's side. If Ronery strikes first China will "stay neutral". Principled.
  23. It would be good if we held firm until the window closes then go public with whatever we've got on Liverpool (assuming we do have stuff). I think the club's current stance of keeping largely quiet whilst the window is open (because we can't control all the variables, however resolute we are) is the correct one.
  24. It's the Worthington cup for ****'s sake. I've got a bottle opener.
  25. Ooh. I'm not up to date with this season's principal partners. Who has the best principal partner?
