There's only two DDs in that picture.

That's a limited context for "as good". It ignores sovereignty and immigration. Like it or not, those are reasons why a lot of people voted "out". Rather than constantly trumpeting the virtues of "ever increasing union", the remain campaign should have tackled immigration and sovereignty head on and explained why a leave vote wouldn't deliver the Olde England that those voters wistfully / retardedly imagine.

Apart from their collective inability to defend crosses in the air, no.

Long? Yoshida is very bi-footed (although prefers right foot) as illustrated by The9s wrongful impression of him being a leftie.
-
Yoshida is right footed. He's just good enough to play left back as well.
-
At a guess, The9.

There was a load of info you were going to reveal on 1 Sept though, right?

No. They will still sign an initial 4 years or so and if they want to leave after 2 or 3 years then they will need to not sign an extension. Even if players will only sign a 3 year-or-so initial contract, with the marketing inflating then even if we sell them after 2 years we should still get a good return. If Virgil refused an extension he would have 3 years left now and we would definitely be looking to move him on next summer to avoid his value decreasing as he approaches his final year. The idea we are unilaterally curtailing players' opportunities at top clubs is fundamentally inaccurate. They need to understand that if they sign a contract for higher wages and longer term security without a release clause then they might have to honour it. If they don't want to do that, they don't have to. Most of the players we sign are from "lesser" leagues and there's no guarantee they will be a success in the PL. Most of them aren't so arrogant as not to appreciate that and so they will still want the financial comfort blanket of a reasonably long initial contract.

Think Arsenal have got the "big team, done ****" award pretty much in the bag.

Hoedt is, hopefully, an upgrade on Stephens and Yoshida. I think you're talking ********. If we wanted the best deal we should have made it clear we were open to offers and got City, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. dipping their toes as well. You don't wait until the last minute where the logistics and financials of doing a deal are challenging.
-
I really hope not. Good enough to make a contribution and offers something different to our other "supporting" forwards. He also qualifies for a free squad place still so doesn't count towards the 25. The only exception to the above is if we are signing another supporting forward who is class.

Southampton owner tells Mauricio Pellegrino he has no extra funds (The Times)

What's ridiculous about that? -
"He cannot wait to meet Les Reed". Is it legit? Of course it ****ing aint!
-
Awesome. Correct stance and a good move by the new owners if they are driving it.
-
Did Sam have to get Willie McKay as his agent for the deal to go ahead?
-
If that's true then you can see why we loaned him out. £1m+ a year in wages on a fourth choice centre forward. ****ing stupid money.
-
Meaning?
-
Well, how would they know? Bunch of idiots.
-
Not to Liverpool in any circumstances whatsoever. Not for £200million. It won't make a jot of difference who we sign and it will make the club look like a joke.

What are you taking about? Wanyama maybe, to some extent. Wrong African?
-
No.
-
Why would you have a six year contract with a clause that says "this is a two year contract"? Doesn't really make sense unless there's some sort of financial implications attached to transfers within the first two years.
-
Play five strikers and get it in the mixer FFS.

That's not good. Eight blanks in eleven league games. It wasn't the manager that was the problem....
