    Redmond

I was thinking about this the other day and, actually, I concluded that playing in the "10" role might suit him better as it would make him less predictable. You could play Tadic left, Remond central and Davis on the right easily enough. Obviously you could also play Boufal but MP clearly doesn't rate him!

    Redmond

He could do with a rest. He's frustrating but there must he a fair bit of pressure on him. He knows there's little chance of Tadic, Davis or Long scoring, or anyone else

    Redmond

I'd like to think MP had a word with him at half time. His first half was dismal but much better in the second.

    Lemina!

Looks the sort of player who could play at a massive club like Juventus!
  5. If it comes to a war of words then Trump's ****ed: https://kcnawatch.co/newstream/1506033115-921520320/statement-of-chairman-of-state-affairs-commission-of-dprk/

I believe you mean, "the actor", not, "the character", sonny Jim. Although it would have been more straightforward to simply say, "you sound like the annoying knob in the Inbetweeners".
  12. Cheers. So if I was to get there at 8, for the sake or agument... probably not?

If I was a 22 year old millionaire footballer I'd be partaking of the punani left, right and centre - and sometimes at the same time. A baby and a Mrs would be the last thing I'd be after. Still, good luck to him.
  14. I'd like to see an automatic yellow card for anyone who touches the ball after the whistle has gone and it's the other team's dead ball. Why does football tolerate people picking up the ball, running ten or twenty yards away then slowly throwing it back or dripping it? It's pure cheating and easy to avoid and stamp out. If you did that in a rugby or hockey match you'd get carded. And fake injuries are easily dealt with by just playing on and allowing treatment on the pitch - there could be an exception for injuries in the goal mouth and anyone receiving treatment is ignored for offside purposes. For any deadball, introduce a rule where you have ten seconds from the referee's whistle to take it or it's reversed. These things would all be quite easy to implement and would clear up a lot of ****.
  15. Thanks guys. I knew I was right but it's still good to hear.
  16. Every manager we have ever had seems to agree with me as well, FWIW.
  17. I thought Tadic was very decent against Palace and should be a shoe-in, frankly.
  18. He's clearly better than Stephens will ever be and you've said Stephens is better than him in the air which, again, is clearly nonsense. Whatever you think of Yoshida, there's no reason to prefer Stephens.
  19. As long as we can restrict the opposition to shots from within 6 yards and stop them shooting from outside the box we'll be fine.
  20. This statement makes me wonder if you've watched either of them play?
  21. A few selection dilemmas for this one and our first match against a good team. Will be interesting!
  22. It's got to be front sweeper time, right? In fact, I'd play a double front sweeper. A 3/4 front sweeper and an advanced front sweeper. Virgil sweeping up in front of the back four and Longy sweeping up in front of the midfield. ****ing genius, me.

    Lemina!

He's 24 and signed a five year deal so I expect we'll sell him when he's 27 for loads of money. Which is fine by me. Looked excellent yesterday and if he'd played against Watford last week I expect we would have had a different result. So frustrating that we didn't manage to sign one more player to compete with Redmond because the squad is actually looking very strong with Hoedt and VVD in the mix. Hopefully Sims can make an impact when he's fit.
  24. Better, I would say. Schneiderlin used to take an age telegraphing cross field balls and would often float them over very high. Hoedt hits them quicker and with shorter preparation. To be clear, I'm not saying he is a better player, just that he plays that pass more effectively (based on a sample of two matches).
  25. It's fine if you want the rest of the team to sit deep and then you just look to counter quickly with direct balls. But, as you say, you are going to surrender the lion's share of possession. Leicester did it and, through some weird miracle, won the league. The next team following that sort of blueprint with any sort of mediocre modicum of "success" is probably West Brom and I'm ****ed if I want to watch Pulis-ball over our current style. So, basically, as you say, no-one apart from the likes of Man City really plays an attacking style with two strikers. We could try and we might score a few more but we'd probably get stuffed more as well.
