Doubt it because until you actually start the course you're not actually a student and there's no guarantee you will do the course. (And most people who are not students but are about to be would qualify for the Young Adult concession already). But maybe.
I don't think anyone's saying he is better than what we have but if he was very cheap he would be an ok option when we wanted to give Chamberlain a rest.
This assumes we will play with a right "winger" though. We may well play some different shapes IMO.
I wouldn't be interested in paying proper money for him but if Reading were willing to get rid of him for £100k-200k he would be worth having as an impact/squad player.
I think that may have been a bit of hyperbole to illustrate the mind of many footy fans.
His points on marketing are correct though and boil down to the simple fact that the club is far better placed to judge the relative merits of certain forms of marketing than we are, what with the club having all the relevant information and us having very little information.
I'd be surprised if Villa were willing to loan him out at this stage, having just sold Young and Downing. Would be a decent signing though, I would've thought.
But is he better than Johnno Quick?
Yes, but any payments due like that will be priced into the deal when the selling club decides what they will or won't accept.
Having already accepted £3.25m, Donny aren't now going to go, "tell you what Billy, we'll give you £500k of that if you leave".
Perhaps his problem was that what we were offering him is more than he is on now but less than Lallana, KD, Fonte etc are on and he wanted a "top earner match" clause or something.
