Attendance 18,000. That's massive for them.
-
YES!! West Ham score.
-
Sounds like we're either defending really well or really badly.
-
Hey, guys! We should try to keep a clean sheet! You heard it here first.
-
Yep. Pompey won't put themselves into admin though (they would have to apply to the court and I can't see them bothering); if anyone does it will be a secured creditor who stands to lose a lot if they're wound-up.
-
Come on boys! This is a big match.
-
Yep, the player will still be the employee of the loaning club so will get paid by them. Pompey's problem isn't an issue in terms of loanee's wages but is not great for any player of the calibre to demand a decent loan fee!

This is what will happen the day before the Skate's winding-up petition is presented, unless someone lends them the £7m (or whatever it is) or they get bought. Very real possibility of our Cup match being their first since losing 9 points!
-
Brass tacks?
-
Not necessarily; they could be put into administration before the winding-up petition is heard. Minus 9 points and the sword of Damacles hanging ever so slightly lower....
-
Ohh, yeah. Quite right. Usual pub closed - blast! Match at lunchtime, have to get up at about 10:00 or something. Police around in town - that'll put an end to my plans to fly in on the stolen 'copter. And on telly... well, it might rain or something. What a hassle!

d) the likelihood of relegation e) the convoluted ownership f) the pantomime cast g) the ongoing criminal investigation into previous club dealings etc....

I'm absolutely astounded by this outcome. Someone from inside tipped us off I reckon!

Well, I was quite ambivalent about the Ipswich match as I have a half ST and didn't really want another Saturday league match being rescheduled resulting in me missing it, but now.... Come on! Let's do those filthy ne'erdowells. Spent a while reflecting on the likely outcome. They should win but I see no reason why we can't score against them. We are dangerous at set pieces, whether shots from Rickie or corners. Antonio and Waigo could have the beating of their full back. If we line up in the 4-5-1 then we can also compete well in midfield. I think much will depend on which attacking players they still have left and whether they are up for it. Can't wait for the atmosphere but just hope there isn't too much agro outside (or inside).

£15 a ticket and kids get in free hopefully.

He was class. You obviously weren't there.

There will be serious disorder if we get the skates. For that reason, they can sod off. I also do not want them getting half the gate receipts from a 32k crowd. A small team at home and a gate of 7k for them would do nicely.
-
If you beat us, which you probably will (which is something of a hollow victory given the cost of putting together the team to do so) you will still trail in our wake in terms of heads to heads against us. As you will soon be plummeting through the divisions and we will be on our way back up, I suspect you will never ever beat SFC more times than SFC beats you. Unlucky. I suppose a couple of league titles 40 years before I was born, when goalposts were jumpers, you could have a pint with Arthur "goalmachine" Ramsbottom or whoever after and be back in time for ma's fish supper and a night at the music hall might make me feel less smug..... but they don't.
-
I expect a few scouts were swelling the bumper crowd even further.
-
The pro-4-5-1 talk might have some merit, but only with our current central midfielders. The reason it looks better than 4-4-2 is because we don't have a midfielder capable of performing consistently alongside Hammond in that system and controlling the game. If we sign a good one of those this week we should play 4-4-2 as we have three of the very best strikers in the division.

I wonder how much two John Utaka goals and a win bonus add to the wage bill?
-
Yeah, they must hate us. Aplying the rules to us. Bastards!
