  1. WTF is Tony Lynham on the board? I thought he had a superb property consultancy. Bit strange IMO unless it's in a non-exec, essentially mouthpiece-of-the-owner role.
  2. What a bunch of ****e. I hope the new owner cans this bizarre shower of ****.
  3. That's a pretty good post, to be fair (ahh... football speak). "Props", as they say.
  4. Stop rippin ma tred ya punk! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=13438
  5. Quite right. I ****ing love the man. I wasn't prepared to give anything to SOS as I thought it was a crushing waste of money but I would happily give something back to Matt and I couldn't care less if he's already loaded. Emotional happiness of the kind provided by him in my formative years can't be valued. He's one of the most life-afirming things I've witnessed. Pathetic sentamentalism. Misguided hyperbole. Shocking immature nonsense. Whatever... **** off. Legend in the true sense. I only hope his involvement never leads to the castigation that a few sage others have referred to as this would be truly tragic.
  6. Did he really take it away at the entrance and throw it in the bin? You sure he didn't ask if you wanted to take it back outside and finish it?
  7. I reckon it's Rod Stewart.
  8. Businesses run on debt, generally. He's clearly a bitter little ****. If anything he should lobby for no points penalty as it increases the chances of much bigger clubs ending up in the same division as his tinpot outfit.
  9. Well, it is his spiritual home after all. Strikes me as massively unlikely. Tottenham have much better prospects and probably just as much money to spend on the squad next year. He would be taking a huge backward step.
  10. If it wasn't for Matt Le Tiss they would have had nothing to aspire to for all these years!
  11. Absolutely right IMO. Who exactly are you going to spend big bucks on in League One anyway?! If the new regime is going to splash the cash it should be on recruiting the right manager and retaining those currently deemed worth keeping. This can be supplemented with some young loanees and experienced signings. The most important thing by far next season is having a playing squad with a winner's mentality and hunger, 100% behind the manager, from the first day of the season. If we can achieve this then I'm sure the rest will take care of itself.
  12. If the positive news and feelgood factor continues over the summer with MLT prominent and the investor's identity being weclomed then I would expect a crowd of 23K+ for the first home game. If performances are decent this will be sustained and possibly grow. I expect the corners will be open, with the possible exception of the one between the Chapel and the Itchen as, frankly, it is utterly pointless unless the rest of the ground is full.
  13. Not at all sad to see him leave but £400k is too cheap and should not be accepted if it's no longer a neccessity to do so. Worth about £700k IMO.
  14. I like the way Fry is now getting slated. Have we or have we not had, ostensibly at least, a good result? Oh and FFS, can we be spared the nauseating piety for a while please. Cheers.
  15. "Carol Vorderman" -
  16. Without wishing to be premature, if this all comes off then, judging by Tony Lynam's letter, it will be in large part down to the belief, steadfastness, dependability and hard work of Matt Le Tissier. I was extremely fortunate to be just the right age to start supporting Saints as Matt was emerging. For me, and I'm sure a lot of others, nearly all my fondest memories of Saints involve Matt Le Tiss - we haven't had a player that can come anwyhere near to him for service to the club and entertaining the fans since and we probably never will again. Now, it seems he's played a major role in our survival. Matt, thanks for the goals, thanks for the memories, thanks for the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwZI5MlxKVQ&feature=PlayList&p=2C060D1CF231CD19&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=100
  17. Frankie Bennett.
  18. Oh Christ! It's Mike Wilde in disguise
  19. Or... we could have just sold a player in January and none of this would have happened. FFS - has everyone turned French?
  20. The ****s don't reply to their emails.

  22. According to Pompey's website, due dilligence hasn't finished yet. I'm not saying it won't - the guy is clearly mental if he wants to waste loads of money on that disgusting relic - just that it hasn't yet
  23. Depends. Could be a Hungarian feeder club, could be Jack Boyle, could be Paul Allen.
