  1. I always fel sorry for kids that are 8-12 ish now and really getting into going to games... they get a half empty ST Mary's and I got a packed Dell. Pretty lucky really. Awesome memories. To add another few I've just remembered: - David Beckham pulling his shorts right up his arse crack when taking a throw in because he was getting so much stick. - A bloke in the Upper East running down to the front and screaming, "Nick him, copper!", when Patrick Viera scored. Bloody hilarious. Don't know what he did to upset the guy so much. - MLT's freekick against Wimbledon.
  2. lol
  3. 1 - Matt Le Tiss v Newcastle 2 - Balls leaving the stadium 3 - The passageway at the back of the Archers 4 - First Game 5 - Running out of the Junior Saints section after 85 minutes to spend the last 5 in the Milton 6 - 6 -3 v Man U 7 - Pahars' goals v Everton 8 - The car park man 9 - Queueing for tickets at 5am 10 - Metal benches 11 - Piles 12 - Steam rising from urinals 13 - Queen's "One Mission" 14 - £3 midweek league cup matches 15 - Saints v West Ham (2-1 Mickey Evans and Eyal Berkovic, Dodd sent off) 16 - Mazy runs by Claus 17 - Buying The Ugly 18 - Frozen pipes 19 - Scoreboard malfunctions 20 - The lunatic Boris Johnson look-a-like in the East Stand ....that's enough for now. Could go on!
  4. Amesome picture anyway! I'm there - somewhere in the East Stand!
  5. I know where Jan had dinner today. It's not terribly pertinent though.
  6. Not really. The fact is, Marland underwrote part of the IPO and the Reuben brothers are highly private individuals who try and eschew the limelight and are said to have "never paid over the odds for anything" - hardly likely to buy a football club. It's not that easy to find someone to just throw away tens of millions of pounds, despite having a modest to reasonable list of business contacts.
  7. Lol - I take it they don't read this forum then!?
  8. That's what I would've written earlier if I could've been arsed.
  9. Whatever he's like 99% of the time, someone capable of turning a young child's funeral into some sort of triumphalist gloating session, is clearly capable of being a **** at football and getting deservedly banned.
  10. Sure...! Haven't got a clue which match it was. I presume it must've been during Branfoot, but to be honest I can't even tell you that 100%?! Anyway, someone ran onto the pitch and sat down in the middle as a protest and David Speedie went ape and dragged him off by his neck. Was very funny! Someone else must remember it?
  11. Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank?
  12. I'm actually interested in this. Thinking of expanding my portfolio; every recession has its winners. Would you mind posting a brief precis of which other regional stockbrokers I ought to avoid please and state as clearly as possible why WH Ireland are more dynamic. You see, they're from Manchester and I'm worried they might be a bit, er, "flat-cap" if you know what I mean. Whippets, hotpot and ale and all that.
  13. I can't believe he hasn't been banned.
  14. Looks like some rocks n'stuff to me.
  15. I refer you to my post above re keeping this short. I will simply point out that Lowe has contacts with much bigger fish than WH Ireland and that if Scooby wanted to stimulate an honest and worthy discussion about this he could have done so without all the bombastic "look at me" screeching. Sad, predictable, nonsense.
  16. Ok, well I'm not going to ruin Scooby's latest bout of e-onanism by soiling it with reasoned debate.
  17. Lol - do you honestly believe that?
  18. To be fair, if all he gets is a "why didn't you go to the fan's forum?", I imagine he'll be pretty happy.

We agree then - I don't think it's anything to do with Saints either. Sorry, I was just confused by your post which seemed to suggest that becasue the website is unspectacular at the moment, it was somehow invalid. Cheers, benjii.
  20. I agree with that largely.
  21. Defintely a consideration IMO
  22. Crappy little team hopefully. More fun IMO.
  23. Oh, crikey......
  24. SCW was on a loser becaus he was parachuted in above a manager who didn't want to work with him and was the sole brainchild of an unpopular and failed chairman. I think we all know that.
  25. Less relevant than the "which shareholder is at the match?" threads IMO.
