  1. I still think he has more ability than most of our players and could be a very good player at this level. He would benefit by playing upfront with a strike partner who knows how to be a striker in professional league football.
  2. I reckon he might bail soon...
  3. I thought James was one of our best players tonight (until the error!). I feel really sorry for him though. This crazy experiment is seriously threatening to damage his career prospects.
  4. Ok - I thought he just said he'd "done some research" but I may not have been listening carefully! I would be surprised if Lowe had said that, as it would kind of fly in the face of his entire raison d'etre at the moment and would point the finger of blame squarely at himself.
  5. Agree generally, however he did unfortunately choose to miss-control the one good ball he was played by Wotton. He was much more dangerous than any of the other attacking players though.
  6. Whilst I respect his comments, I think the dodgy system may have something to do with that as well, however we were so slow to the second ball today. Where was the interview, out of interest?

    Why?

Even if that were true, which it may be, then that is precisely why you should play a simple formation. One that is capable of producing simple goals from straightforward basics (see Crystal Palace tonight for an example of a slow, fat bloke achieving success).... not a complete shower that is threatening to wreck people's careers before they've even got going.
  8. Lallana definitely. However I would sell both if it meant we could get Stern John back (and play 4-4-2 not the current nonsense).
  9. I don't think he actually said that Lowe told him that, did he?
  10. Is this a serious question? Do you honestly think that we would have trouble finding numerous suitably qualified candidates for the role of PLC chairman? He's not even the chief exec - he's just the ****ing figurehead (or at least, he's supposed to be) (and we could also find numerous suitably qualified people for the chief exec role if we wanted). If there's no one out there it's because Wilde, Lowe and Crouch can't work together and therefore we're stuck with one of those... I know which one I'd want and it sure isn't Lowe.
  11. Limp, fetid, boring, uninspiring garbage.
  12. Didn't Lowe own Woolworths, Enron and WaMu too?
  13. Aww... bless 'im. I hear the Scoobs recovery is actually going surprisingly well.
  14. I've read this from a lot of posters on here but I can't remember one of them ever explaining why? Lowe is in power because Wilde had a panic attack, it is not because of his remarkable business recovery skills.

    Paterson

If McGoldrick was playing alongside Stern John he would have probably scored many more goals perhaps IMO I think maybe.
  16. Sounds like some sort of error to me.
  17. Would certainly settle for that right now!
  18. Well, who says Rupert Lowe owns any of those? All we know is that he is a director. He may well be "Mr 6%" in all of them.

    Re-incarnation

I'm pretty sure, with the exception of Lennon in a couple of cases perhaps, that all their lives overlapped!
  20. Tilmouth and Tweed Salmon Fishings LLP
  21. Some sort of barrier presumably.
  22. So what? "Someone" is integral to many movements, religous, politicial or otherwise. It shouldn't affect a person's ability to call them anything they want. You should argue against them with reason if you disagree, not due to some sort of protected status and certainly not with a lazy labelling of some sort of "ism" du jour. I may think Stalin was a terrorist, but that doesn't mean I harbour ill-will to all Communists.
  23. http://www.loweoliver.co.uk/history.htm "Patrick" is Lowe's dad isnt he?
  24. There will certainly be a hostile atmosphere in town, what with the recent history. No doubt there will be various "revenge" missions from their point of view and plenty of our morons will be out in force.
  25. Hear, hear. Well said.
