  1. http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=28402 Saints training in 1934 - Excellent to watch.
  2. Woooooooo! I found out what his name means when translated into English. It means 'Rupert Lowe' Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! LOL
  3. Takeover complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....is what I was hoping the site would have said by now. Still...hopefully soon we'll hear some positive news.
  4. Apparently Le Tissier is trying to get money together through his contacts at Sky to buy the club.
  5. We won't have to worry about our wallets going missing either. Another bonus for us if he fudges off.
  6. When I was just a little boy, I asked my mother what should I be? Should I be Pompey, Should I be Saints? Heres what she said to me. Wash your mouth out son, go get your fathers gun and shoot the pompey scum and become a girl.
  7. Saw the NY Mets last year at the Shea Stadium. Great day out, they certainly know how to entertain the fans despite the lack of action. We got free NY Mets towels when we went in, got some cheap food, mixed with the opposition fans and generally felt like I was a kid again. Football over here seriously needs to take note about how to treat fans and give fans their moneys worth. All together now... Take me out to the ball game......
  8. Still brings a smile to my face hearing him tell the nation that he's a one club man.
  9. Blackburn Rovers just announced season tickets costing £150 for unreserved seats in the end next to away fans (not including the top 4 games due to their big support) and £199 for seats elsewhere for every game of the season. Which works out at £10 a ticket for every Premier League game. So Rovers fans will fork out £10 to watch them play Manchester United whilst we all know that Saints will probably charge around £25 to see Saints play Yeovil. This season we have already seen them do 3 games for £20. Finally there is a club who is finally giving back something to the fans whilst trying to increase attendances. Teams in other countries charge small prices for fans. Let's hope other teams can follow in England and bring the fans back to stadiums instead of driving them away.
  10. Bring back Marian Pahars and Ronnie Ekelund
  11. Might be worth talking to FC United and AFC Wimbledon about how to go ahead with the idea IF there is no alternative. At the moment there is a Lowe free Southampton who needs everyone to be fully supporting them.
  12. Fish and chips from the chippy, a few cans of dandelion and burdock and sit down and watch a re-run of Germany 1-5 England. Can't beat that!
  13. I like Setanta. You get lots of football including England internationals, some great boxing matches as well as UFC. Also when I subscribed to Setanta, I got the likes of ESPN America which shows all the top American sports like NFL, MLB etc. I guess if you'd watch what they offer then it's worth it. If you wouldn't then I guess not. A tip for those who have subscribed to it. At the end of the football season, phone up to cancel and 99% of the time they'll offer you a reduced subscription fee for 6 months.
  14. She's an excellent singer. Just a shame that it's taken 30 odd years for her to be discovered.
  15. It's like throwing money into a black hole at the moment. The directors need to know what the figures are from the administrators. Without knowing what's going on, probably because the administrators are trying to keep the parent company and the club separate at the moment, it would just be pointless throwing money into the club at the moment.
  16. I bet you can squeal like a pig. Weeeeeeee!
  17. I actually screamed like a girl when Inzaghe scored. We should respond with "Are you watching their attackers??"
  18. so much for him wanting to stay at Pompey for the rest of his career!
  19. quite happy to be a midfielder or a full back!
  20. Can I join the club? My PSN is Tim-oth-eus
