But your lot will still probably be above us 3 years from now, right? Yes, you were absolutely right. But I think you'll be absolutely wrong with your prediction that P***** will still be above us 3 years from now.

But does UAE really care about foreign creditors, or a bankruptcy that happens overseas (i.e. in the UK)? If they really do, I guess the ice cream doctor will retire somewhere else.

So, do you still think you'll be above us 3 years from now? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=408850&postcount=110 Originally Posted by Dark Munster Perhaps it's best to rephrase the question as I did to pfc123 (I've added stadium): Suppose someone were to give you the offer for P*mp*y and Saints to switch positions 3 years from now (owner, league position, facilities and debts). Same thought crossed my mind some time ago. Imagine Saints finishing 7th, and making the playoffs (and winning!) because of P*****'s demise. Sadly, I think would be easier (and more likely) that they would simply have one less relegated team in CCC, L1 and L2. But P*****'s demise would still be a source of great merriment.

My bad.

From the title of this thread I thought you were going to describe Edmonton.

Correction: 2010 will be the year when there will be only two teams in Hampshire. Saints and Saints reserves.

A 2-0 success for the hosts on the day – both goals coming in the second half – was enough to instead condemn Southampton to relegation. Why do they continue to repeat that lie? Listen skates, even if you had murdered WBA 10-0, Saints would still have gone down. And listen, Saints got 3 points from their 2 games against the skates that year, so in fact the skates did their part, more than most of the other PL teams, to help keep Saints up. Thank you.

No way.... they need to do a Lowe and go bust after the deadline for carrying the -10 points into the CCC (or lower).

Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

I had a dream where I saw Liebherr bulldozers demolishing Krap Nottarf after P****y were wound up. -
Shame it wasn't -40, then you could use Celsius or Fahrenheit. Here in San Diego we are also suffering from a cold snap... it's only +60 F (15 C) at the moment. Should be warmer and sunnier tomorrow though. :smt040

Now, Al Fahim is considering suing Al-Faraj because he is being held responsible for it not going through by Gaydamak, who in turn is considering suing him. It has also emerged that Hong Kong-based businessman Balram Chainrai, who has provided Pompey with £20m in the form of a loan, is becoming increasingly frustrated by the club’s failure to secure re-financing. :smt043 Gaymadman is about to sue the ice cream doctor, the ice cream doctor is about to sue the second fake sheik. Now all we need is the second fake sheik to sue Gaymadman and the circle is complete! :smt046

Maybe, but Saints are more likely to catch Colchester if they pick up a point (or three) at Leeds as opposed to picking up none.

MLT slagged off your lord and master Lowe: ergo, he's not a legend. I think you may need to reconsider Channon's legendary status: MICK CHANNON has blamed chairman Rupert Lowe for Southampton's huge turnover in managers following Strachan's decision to quit. "Every time we get a manager who looks like moving the club on we lose him. As a supporter of the club I have to ask Rupert Lowe why." http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4161/is_20040118/ai_n9716183/ http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article2393057.ece

Ah, but Wimbledon relocated after suffering relegation. I suspect the two events were not unconnected. Relegation can lead to something worse than relocation: administration and winding up. I wouldn't wish that on any team..... with one notable exception.

It's amazing how those Germans don't feel the pressure or get tired. But what if not all 5 are on the pitch at the end of extra time? Or what if the score is tied after the first 10 penalties: who takes the 6th one, or 7th, ..? Venables, the only England manager to actually have one success with a penalty shootout, had his first 5 penalty takers do well, but forgot that it could go further (and that's how he lost the shootout against the Germans). If we have a penalty shootout it may take 8 or 9 before one of the other team misses (or in the case of the Germans, 10 or 11 ). Each and every member of the squad (including the goalies) should become as good at taking penalties as they can.

I have a dream. Next year the two teams meet at SMS in the CCC, about 10 matches before the end of the season. Saints spank P****y, a result which then confirms our automatic promotion to the PL and their relegation to L1. What could be sweeter?
-
True, but at least they don't have the kiss of death known as relegation.
-
But he was able to coach Beattie and Crouch. I know why they haven't; because when it comes to penalties most of England's managers were morons: "Penalties are a lottery," "You can't recreate the pressure," etc. etc. Stuart Pearce has learned from playing under these idiots (and missing a vital penalty himself), so for England's U21s he takes penalties seriously. Hopefully he can pass this on to Capello. If England get knocked out by penalties again (especially against the Germans or Portuguese) I think my TV will be flying out of the window.
-
As long as it doesn't go to bloody penalties.
-
But the advantage is, if he had the role officially, 19C would spontaneously combust.

Err, bit of a difference. Charlton were relegated and are doing well in a division below. Leicester were relegated are now doing well back in the same division from which they were relegated. First the Lowe luvvies said Pearson would struggle in L1. Then, after Leicester walked L1 (at 2.08 points per game), they said L1 was easy and that Pearson would be found out in the CCC. But now Leicester are currently third, so they are saying he will be found out later! No doubt, if he takes them up to the PL, they'll say he'll get found out there. I can see where this could end. One day Pearson may take them to the Champions League final, where they get thrashed by Barcelona. Then the Lowe luvvies would say "told you so". :smt043
