  1. Cool, Deftones playing the UK in November. Doing the Guildhall, but just got tickets for the Brixton show. Can't wait to hear them play "Rocket Skates" live Haven't seen them since 1997 when they played the Pyramids in Pimpey.
  2. Had my first ever pizza in there when I was about 4 (am 31 this year). I went to school with the son of the people who owned it, pretty sure the surname was Bibbo?
  3. Was once scouted by Saints when he was a nipper, said so in the (excellent) Woody & Nord book.
  4. I just saw Phil Troussier and Bruno Metsu in Tesco Express on St Marys Street. Make of that what you will.
  5. Agree with ladysaint...he is to unorthodox to fit in with Cortese's plans!
  6. Yeah man, he would be an interesting appointment, just cant see him jacking in Blackpool for us. He has done well there, and even if they may well get relegated, can't see him giving up just a few games in. It is ****** anyway dude, like I said, on facebook, was probably a wind up anyway!!
  7. Someone facebooked me to say Ian Holloway is taking over. Once I had finished laughing, I realised that if he did take over, at least it would mean Wotton would leave, given his previous form on tour in Austria
  8. Sorry dude but Pards had experience of League 1 and League 2 footy, he took Reading up from Div 2. Granted, he had spent time at Charlton and Wet Spam in between Reading and us, but he deffo had prior experience of the lower leagues.
  9. Are you flying out to seal the Bruno Metsu deal for Nicola?
  10. Another vote for Pan's Labyrinth. My Neighbour Totoro always gets me, as does Grave Of The Fireflies. I actually cried in the bloody cinema at Up and even bloody Precious, ffs.
  11. >_ lol nice one Hatch!!
  12. Why are people obsessed by it being a "Yes Man" to Cortese? It has been made clear from the information we have gleaned so far that the reason Pardew was relieved of his duties was the untenable situation on the training ground, possibly involving his inability to work with the other coaching staff. This was made fairly clear on the OS. Pards going, IMO, was bugger all to do with him being the nodding dog to the power crazed dictatorial chairman. And as for the new manager? Bruno Metsu, 100% baby.
  13. The Guardian is reporting: "Michael Owen will join Southampton for 6.5m tomorrow". They do go on to say that this was from the Football-rumours.com website so probably bulls**t. Still....got me thinking of the Keegan signing all those years ago.......
  14. redandwhitebill : I am sure I can help you sell a few more issues, by distributing it in Northam Club and The Old Farmhouse, for starters. Email me at bigseany1979@live.co.uk if you are interested. I am also keen on submitting some articles, I am a published writer/journalist. Well done on this, fantastic endeavor mate.
  15. This. Great play area, a bird aviary, good food. Regular customers include fake blood controversy egg chaser Dean Richards and our very own Matty.
  16. This is a cracking appointment for Hull. Feel sorry for Leicester though.
  17. Listening to a ton of old-school hip hop lately. Biz Markie, MC Shan, Kool G Rap & Polo, Marley Marl, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Run DMC, Roxanne Shante, Ultramagnetics, 3rd Bass, Boogie Down. And incidentally, if anyone would like to hear me spin loads of this sort of stuff, as well as rap and hip hop from every era, I will be doing my thing in Goblets on the 10th of July - it should be a cracker.
  18. I love both versions of the song, however my favourite take on it is by Nine Inch Nails playing live with Trent Reznor and David Bowie sharing the vocals. When Big Dave kicks off with "I.....hurt myself today" in his unmistakable voice it sends a shiver down your spine. Must be from about 94-96, it is on a live bootleg I have and I believe it is also kicking around on Youtube if you search for it.
  19. Done. Give me a bell on that number, and we can arrange everything. Good job I have this last post left Will be middle of next week if that is OK.
  20. Oh and Paul I am on 07876741321 if you want to get in touch - am not on here a great deal and am a three posts a day *****!
  21. I can offer £180? But not until after 28th when I get paid!
  22. Aaaah Lee Molyneux.....we hardly knew ye. Yeux? Yeuuuuux?
  23. LOL the swear filter edited out "m_inge" but allowed "bastard".
  24. To be honest I would rather listen to someone blowing a crazy African wind instrument than listen to some of the amoebic-dysentery that spews out of the bloke who sits near me at SMS. "ALWAYS play the f**king SQUARE BALL!" - was one of his gems, screamed at random during an innocuous passage of play. Oh, and I prefer the sound of the vuvuzela to those supporters band bastards finding ever more new and annoying ways of playing "The Great Escape" and "Self Preservation Society" ad *****-ing nauseam.
  25. North Korea were awesome. Dullest Brazil side I have seen for a while. Then again with Dunga in charge should have expected that. Hate the philosophical, military, political and humanitarian stance that their country take...but cannot fault the lads tonight.
