  1. I've never understood how the footie league has managed to change the Law of the Land which says that HMRC is ALWAYS first in line. I don' get it. Anyone know? If I were the tax man I wouldn't give a stuff that Sol Campbell is owed image rights money. I would want my tax!
  2. OK. Just wanted to make sure there was a redirection link so no one misses it! It is after all quality news and entertainment!
  3. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7620926/Portsmouth-suffer-Premier-League-parachute-payment-blow.html It just keeps on getting better!
  4. Probably consultancy fees due to Rupert Lowe. He must have advised them on how to go about ****ing up a footie club!!
  5. Like it. Well done. What software do you use for capturing the screen to video?
  6. I've just bought a property in one of the new developments near SMS. I have a dedicated car-port but don't use it as don't have a car. What do you think I could rent it out for? Either all year or for every home game for a season or ad hoc home games. Interested to hear what people think. Cheers.
  7. I'd like that Skate loanee Pickion. He was devastating against us and Spurs alike. Quality player. Think his club is Lyon?
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8558580.stm That will make it just that much harder to sell the club. Oh well.
  9. ...I will come and cut your testicles off, fry them in garlic, ground them up and scatter them on the Common for the pigeons to enjoy. And if you're a lass then I'll do the same with your fallopians. Alan Pardew is our boss. And what a job he is doing. Thank you Alan. Up the Saints!
  10. Good news tonight is that we now can't go down
  11. Look mush, you are obviously hacked off with yourself for believing the advertising. Sorry buddy that is your look out. It was never going to be a properly organized 'event'. Not in a million years. It had Dell Boy Enterprises written large all over it. Sorry if you feel aggrieved, really do. Just hope you enjoyed the football and the result.
  12. So? There is plenty of crap attractions out there which don't live up to expectations. I bought a lasagna from Tescos the other day and it said on the cover that it was "delicious". Was it ******. It tasted crap. So what? I don't shop at Tescos any more. So now everyone has learned their lesson about these event organizers. Don't buy a ticket from them again. Move on and enjoy life, just don't get the friggin lawyers involved because then you'll be wasting even more money. If you really want to get even, find out where the ***t who organized it lives and go and pay him a visit.
  13. I like the cut of their silk
  14. Oh give over mush! Don't give him the attention he craves. NI didn't do this to me. Christ, enough of the victim mentality. Caveat Emptor.
  15. Fair enough, but when you take your class action case to the high court count me out. I couldn't give a stuff about my tenner not buying me what it said on the poster pinned above the urinals in the Chapel Arms. Good luck though getting your money back, seriously.
  16. that's ****ing sick.
  17. the initial core samples Desire have taken at Falklands are not looking promising though. Share price cut in half. West Texas Intermediary is now above $80 /bbl and holding strong but even at that price the economics don't hold up for deep sea speculative prospects. BPs boss has recently said that any new investment (read, drilling and exploration) needs a confirmed price above $80 or it is a no go. And not only does the spot price matter but so to does the flow rate after extensive flow testing and the type of crude. AFAIK Fawley is not set up to process heavy sour which is what they found under the Isle of Wight. So it would need to be shipped out to Grangemouth or other. Then there is the actual recoverable reserve versus resource issue. If the resource in place is too small to bother about then it doesn't matter about the spot price if the total cost is never going to be recovered at a margin which share holders expect. Never mind the URR is typically 50% max for these sort of formations and most likely a lot less.
  18. Listen, I'm no fan of Illingsworth but anyone who read the adverts for the silverspoons pub and actually thought they would get all that it said is naive as hell. It was never going to live up to its billing. I knew it the moment I saw it but still paid my tenner because we were going to Wembley and I needed a pint before hand and I wanted to enjoy my day. When I go to football I work out my budget before hand and then fully expect to spend it all never mind what on. Seems as though some all codgers on here want to take their commercial lawyer along to footie just in case the day turns out to be a disappointment! Like I said before: loosen up and don't be so naive next time. It was always going to be a complete dive with expensive beer and ****e entertainment. We weren't there for the ****ing pub - we were there to see our lads lift the cup!
  19. SaintBobby - FFS what did you expect? Looks as though you really thought you would be getting the full monty. None of my party were under any allusions that it wasn't going to be exactly as it turned out. We were just happy to have some where bang opposite Wembley to get a pint and have a laugh. Jeeez mate, loosen up and forget it!

    Auschwitz

yeah, but at least we saw the error of our ways and led the world away from slavery. Where was the German equivalent of the Clapham Sect? Well, I'll give them Herr Schindler but no one else stood up and tried to stop it.
  21. the oil in Hedge End used to be in the Falklands.... mind you, there was drilling on the Forest road outside Newport on the Isle of Wight a few years ago. Came to nothing. Probably the same geologic structure. Might look good on seismic but once you core it it becomes apparent that there ain't none worth getting out.
  22. report him to the old bill.... before they go off the air!
  23. Can I pay a tenner and do the oranges at half-time?
  24. Kelvin's got more chance to be honest.
  25. Got to sign him. I remember when he was introduced at St Mary's. He came out, dressed to the nines, and ran over the Northam and started signing kids programs. He did his Senegalese warriors jig and I remarked to my buddy that at last we had a player who showed some real arrogant showmanship. My mate then said "yeah, but can he play". Well I reckon he has answered that question!
