A young lad has gone missing from Southampton General Hospital. Anybody checked Anfield?
-
I'd be disappointed to lose cork or gaston, tbh.
-
Any predictions about our finishing position? Could it involve the numbers 7 and 1?
-
I don't suppose they care any more about him than he does about them. If that makes any sense.
-
Hopefully not. Do you think the two deals were completely unconnected then? That we'd have signed taider regardless, and they'd have signed Osvaldo at the same time? Simple coincidence?
-
You seemed to have been dismissing any possibility that the two loan deals could have been connected. It seems impossible to me that they weren't. Its a step too far for me to believe that of all the players in all the clubs in this whole wide world, we wanted to sign taider to reinforce the only part of our squad that didn't need reinforcing, and that particular club just happened to want a player we were desperate to get shot of. And both deals just happened to coincide, practically to the minute and got announced at the same time.
-
We shipped out a player on loan we desperately wanted rid of, and took in a player we simply didn't need. iirc, both deals announced at the same time. The logical assumption would be that the deals were connected. Midfield is the one area we already have a surplus in, unless/until corky and morgan get sold.

I'd be gutted if tadic left.
-
To be fair, quite a few people on here (myself included) had assumed that the two loans were part of a single deal arranged between the clubs involved. We clearly wanted shot of osvaldo, but his wages meant a sweetener was required. I'm prepared to accept that we'd have gone in for taider anyway, and they'd have wanted osvaldo anyway, but that scenario does seem a little dubious on the face of it, especially given the position taider plays is one we really didn't need to strengthen.

....aaah, now we're getting to the nub of it, if ever we need a fashion answer to a footballing conundrum Turkish is the bloke to ask. What brands was he desecrating then, turks? And what should he have been wearing?
-
Pompey are laughing, and that's official. The resident skate on the sicki forum pointed out that taider lasted longer here than ali dia.
-
To be fair, dave jones did swim against the tide and get us a work permit for marian against all the odds. I'd agree about the rojo situation though, it won't be a problem for the plastics, he'll be watching his maserati getting its alloys nicked in no time flat.
-
...and is he ready?
-
I feel for you. If he'd known the move was going to cause some poor bastard to have to endure the agonies of supporting the saints, I'm sure he would have reconsidered.
-
Given the exodus, I cant see a hell of a lot wrong with the incoming signings. What exactly was he supposed to sell to them?
-
Haven't you twigged yet?
-
I don't think anyone will actually crucify him. However, quite a few posters on here seem to think that their approval/disapproval means jack sh*t to the club. Comments like "I'll give him until......", "..if we haven't signed xyz by...." What exactly are these posters expecting will happen if their wishes fail to be met? The board and management to commit harakiri because of an ill-informed posting on a message board?
-
I heard that Messi has also blanked us. Don't shoot the messenger.

I reckon that if I trimmed my spending a bit, I could just about struggle by on that. Just.
-
Only if you start spelling "calibre" correctly. You've been in America too long.
-
Yes, we all did. Obviously. Embarrassing indeed.
-
And Nolan possibly out injured for up to six weeks, according to the beeb.
-
1 week to go, will Kruger, Koeman n Ko stick to their word?

Morgan couldn't care less, but he forced a wondersave from mignolet against the dippers, and almost equalised in injury time. Two fantastic efforts that could have sent us home with three points on another day.
