  1. yechhh, way too much information tbf, but the BBC don't usually publish anything without a decent source to back it up. Be interesting to see how this plays out.
  2. Excellent point, well taken. How many others in or around the cabinet actually stood down rather than go along with the "party" line on iraq?, I cant think of any apart from robin cook, fair play to him.
  3. I suspected as much, but it hasnt changed my mind. I had a bizarrely realistic dream about patricia hewitt too, might as well dump all my laundry on the pavement while I'm about it
  4. I'll take your word for it, but he always looks to me as if he was wearing eyeliner:confused:
  5. lets cut to the chase; who would you? I'm personally thinking Theresa May, but thats probably just me. Would be interested to hear the ladies' opinions on the male mps as well.
  6. Mandelson is a c*nt, why brown is still flirting with him is beyond me, surely you'd have thought he was the very last creature brown would take back into the fold given the animosity between brown and blair
  7. The 5-live commentator said on the live commentary today that p*mp*y would not be able to play in europe next season even if they were to win the FA cup, due to their admin issues. I dont know any more than that.
  8. I thought it was lib dem policy to hold a referendum asap, and to campaign vigorously in favour of it:confused: I dont think they could just say it was their policy to join it.
  9. at least if the fishfiddling c*nts somehow manage to fluke a win against chelski they still wont get into europe. Somebody, somewhere has acknowledged their financial improprieties if not their penchant for inbreeding.
  10. .........Victor Meldrew............
  11. personally I agree, but dont forget that he alone of the 3 of them is able to speak his mind about the economy without the burden of believing the policies he is advocating will ever have to be actually carried through. For example, can you imagine vince cable trying to drag us into the euro?? and that is stated liberal policy, he would have to do it and the electorate would crucify him. The libs will not form the next government, darling and osborne have imo a roughly even chance of becoming the next chancellor and will be as shackled by their party's political stance as every other chancellor. Whatever they say now will be held up as gospel after the election whichever one of them is in power. Twas ever thus, sadly
  12. I bet ladbrokes are sh*tting themselves at that payout!! Will they survive it?
  13. Great win, but as somebody pointed out on another thread regarding the playoffs, "its not the despair. I can cope with the despair. Its the hope......." Very good result though and if we can win the game in hand??!!! COYR
  14. I'd forgive her anything after that GQ photoshoot.
  15. Blimey!! Thats us telt
  16. I think we're working on it
  17. Look at the public outrage that resulted in. That policy changed pdq. As to the comments from those who maintain that any shade of UK government would have done what blair did and backed the invasion, (and btw, it was an invasion- I wish people would stop referring to "going to war", which sounds far more innocent,) its worth remembering that the lib-dems opposed the action and would almost certainly have refused that course. I'm not thick enough to believe they had or have any chance of forming a government, but for all those on here bemoaning our involvement in Iraq they are the third largest party, and voting for them is an option.

my feelings exactly. We keep talking on here about our results and how we cant possibly make up the deficit without maximum points from every game, but we seem to be always assuming that the teams above us are going to win everything until seasons end. They wont. Somebody could have a bad run, and we could have a good one; I know which way I'd be betting given our form. I still dont think it even halfway likely that we're going to make the playoffs but I havent heard the oversized lady start singing yet.
  19. That was funny imo, sorry Glasgow:D
  20. well, at least that puts Faz's "Mystic Meg" prediction of a 4-0 win to bed.
  21. There are very few people that I can honestly say I am happy to see dead. I'm against capital punishment, and the lynch-mob mentality as practiced by our blue few neighbours not so many years ago repulses me. This one seems fitting though, as he preached a particularly vile type of hatred which probably inspired killings in itself.
  22. surprising what whooshes over your head at three minutes past one in the morning , not that I object to a good slanging match
  23. "Insulting or abusing another member - 2 points"
  24. I hope that one doesnt come back to haunt you.
