+1. Why should adele do anything just because geldof asked her to? Who does he think he is, the supreme master of humanity? These pop stars are often too precious for words, I told elton john to f*ck off once over a job they wanted me to do at a moments notice. He didn't like it one bit.
  3. He's in Liverpool, he's used to being robbed.
  4. I wasn't thrilled when we signed Shane Long, but have to say now that he could be one of our most important signings this season. There are so many question marks over J Rod, we definitely need cover for Pellè, and we don't have much of a clue what's happening with Gallagher. Long turned around a difficult game against Leicester, fair play to him.
  5. So did I. How many infraction points did yesterdays little strop cost you?
  6. Its something the new staplewood video mentioned, supposedly the nerve centre of all our incoming transfer targets. Personally, I felt "black box" might not have been the ideal description given that's what they look for after the plane has crashed. Then I googled black box, and it just got worse.
  7. That's the point. Levy changes his mind with the weather, I can only imagine he's offering megabucks for this to happen. The only thing from Mitchells standpoint I suppose is that the backroom staff are less likely to get sacked than the manager, but surely any players going to spurs must realise that the managers position is, to say the least, tenuous? So for example, if J Rod went there with the idea of hooking up with Pochettino again, he must be aware that given Levys form, Poch is unlikely to be there for more than a season even if he lasts this one?
  8. That Haaland injury really boils my p*ss. After all the ched evans rape stuff and "he shouldn't be allowed near football anymore", I don't understand how that rabid pitbull known as roy keane can still stalk the airwaves.
  9. Very true, particularly the comment about our defence last season looking so much more solid when big Vic was playing.

I can tell you for definite, that experience was not unique. (The trial, I mean, not the offence.)
  11. How bad is Henderson? Can't understand why he's still on the pitch.
  12. I couldn't work out if Henderson was bemoaning his own p*sspoor "pass", or screaming at Nat for failing to jump 5 feet to collect it.
  13. Yep, plus that sh*tstirring c*nt hodgson gets to tap them up for whatever chairman he had lunch with last week.

So, you don't see any difference between a stranger raping an eight month pregnant woman at knifepoint and a 16 year old boy having consensual sex with his girlfriend the day before her 16th birthday?

Not sure which of them came up with the goods WG, but one of them was called tinder. Best of luck.

Sexual behaviour amongst the youth of today is staggering to me. My nephew (26) showed me a couple of phone apps recently, clicked a photo of a girl he'd never met, and immediately got a message back the text of which would be pointless trying to post on here due to the swear filter. Suffice it to say, he got laid an hour later.

Thats up to them, the law says we have free speech, they can say whatever they want within certain legal parameters. And the law does say that if he wants to go back to his former club and they want to employ him, there's nothing stopping that. Whether they or any other football club wish to employ him is up to them.

So basically, what you're saying is that you accept the legal systems delivery of a guilty verdict, and that the law should be upheld. That's fine, although personally I have reservations about it due to either direct or indirect involvement from a jurors point of view. (If it was myself on the jury, obviously I wouldn't be allowed to discuss that.) What irritates me is that having blithely accepted the prosecution aspect of the legal system to be infallible and just, people ignore the rest of it. The law decided on his verdict and punishment, and the law decided when he should be released. The law does not prohibit him from subsequently pursuing any particular career, and the law does not say that any potential employer should be prohibited from employing him. If you accept our legal system, then accept the whole of it. Too many people are popping up and cherry-picking the bits they agree with while ignoring the bits they don't.

Perhaps he either did, or genuinely believes he did, nothing wrong. Its naive to think that every jury trial results in a correct verdict, in fact I know of two cases people close to me have sat on as jurors which they are convinced ended in wrongful convictions.

I've been wondering this as well. Its not saints related in any way, why isn't it on the general sports or lounge pages?
  21. Leicester were in for Pelle as well.
