  1. Perhaps they don't actually want to sell him at all, and have suggested a valuation which reflects that. Its pretty much what we did with lallana, chambers and lovren.
  2. Turks has been practicing. His recent Bites-Per-Post ratio is right up there at the top of the table, the boy's hit a streak of form.
  3. Don't stand still for too long mate, they'll think you're an exhibit.
  4. Interesting read, but "go for broke" is exactly what the board won't want to do. I can see us making a signing or two in order to bring cover in, but would be surprised at a record-breaking marquee signing. Can also see a couple shipped out.
  5. It sounds to me from the OP that whatever he does, it ought to be for himself. Disillusionment in a job is usually because you're in a job, not working on your own behalf. So finding another employer isn't likely to help. Work out your strengths, and what interests you, then figure out how to market that. I lasted a solid three months in employment, went self-employed, and wouldn't have it any other way. A mate of mine has been in medical research for twenty years, he got p*ssed off with every employer after about 3 or 4 years and moved to another. He finally bit the bullet two years ago and started as a freelance. Has as much work as he wants, and can turn down what he doesn't want to do, and I've never seen him so happy. It took him about a year to get back to the income levels he had at his last job, but he's now earning well above that for less work.
  6. Somebody, please take a screenshot of this post for posterity.
  7. *looks sideways with sinister smile*
  8. I think the idea of outswingers is that the ball is moving away from the keeper, giving him less chance to gather it.
  9. I am genuinely enjoying watching those pillocks swallowing their sour grapes on tv. Anyone but their w*nkfest favourites winning really boils their p*ss, its a joy to watch.
  10. Well, f*cking keep him in there then.
  11. Yes. But as hull aren't wearing them I wondered if it was saints related.
  12. Just in from work, what are the black armbands in aid of? And which of our players is that c*nt hodgson scouting for the scousers?
  13. My thoughts exactly. Say what you want about him now and the way he left, but he did a blinding job for us while he was here.
  14. The problem for me here is any time I hear that song, I can only ever think of this. from about 1:30 in
  15. They might all be down at SMS watching the golf on the big screen, thereby freeing up Southampton Municipal for the footy. If so, credit where its due.
  16. Have you considered the possibility of irony in the post you replied to? Just wondering.
  17. What does penis envy have to do with it?
  18. Bedwetter. All we have to do is turn up, and its as good as won.

    Update:

I've checked, and Sheffield Wednesday are the main club pioneering it.
  20. And right under the refs nose. Crouchy can't possibly have any complaints about that one.
  21. If we could pull off a trip to Wembley for the league cup final, I for one would be over the moon. Turks is right, there were loads of posters here deriding it last season as not worth the bother compared to a spot or two up the division, but most of us look back on even the JPT day out as being a fantastic one. A proper shot at a cup would be great.
  22. Terrific result, all the usual names did the business but really chuffed for Shane Long. Not just his goal, but I thought he made a huge impact with our approach play. Florin G had a decent game, but when stoke piled on the pressure he looked a bit vulnerable. I thought Matt Target looked very good indeed. Great evening, ffs, please let us have a home draw next round!
  23. I'm torn between feeling delighted that Big Ron has put out a strong team, and hoping that none of them get crocked by stokes horrible bunch of cloggers.

    Update:

I'd say "he's nailed on", but that would be tasteless.
  25. Am I the only one to read that article and think he doesn't really say what the headline does? “I think it is one of them things where I’ve got to wait and see,” he said. “For me, there’s no reason why not, to be honest. “There is a good base to the club – we’re pulling in the right direction, we have fantastic fans, fantastic players, a fantastic manager and the coaching staff. “It has been a good experience for me so far, so I don’t see why not.”
