  1. Its soft targets and easy nickings for the OB. Just like drink driving, test anyone after a reported accident and if one of the drivers is over the limit, bingo!! No need for any more work, and a guaranteed conviction. Football fans are a soft touch for police forces nowadays, best get used to it.
  2. True. Cuts both ways though now that we're up here.
  3. I don't bet myself, but I remember the man u cup game. My brother in law put £20 on saints being ahead at half time but losing at the final whistle. Won £360, iirc.
  4. Really can't be classed as a defector.
  5.
  6. Shane Long commented on the state of the pitch in his post match interview. Got to say it looked pretty grim on tv, and I did wonder about big Vic pulling up like he did. Bad news either way.
  7. tbh, and with no disrespect intended, it's been such a season that I'd almost forgotten J Rod was still here.
  8. Nice one Cheers.
  9. Absolutely. +1.
  10. Can't disagree with that. I'd love to see him on motd.
  11. Pretty much, yes. Usually good value and worth a listen, imho.
  12. I cant be arsed trawling through that whole thread, but the first few pages had far more comments about how good we were than how bad they were. Van Gaal's taking some stick on there, how sweet would it be if he got the Moyes treatment.... Big Ron would be made up.
  13. I could scrape by on that. If I had to. Just about.
  14. Makes no difference nowadays, sadly. If another club wants him and he wants to go there, they'll just buy him out.
  15. Much as I hate to say this, SRL was the first one out of the door when the summer exodus started. It could be that all this guff about allowing him to go to his home club was a smokescreen for "we're getting rid anyway". Whatever the reasons for his transfer, and much as I love the guy for what he did for us, I just can't see any way back here for him.
  16. I lived in coxford close for 12 years Lou, you could of poured out your anguish to me then.
  17. Not the case, according to one BBC journo on the radio today. He said in an interview that he would be tweeting the cartoon which sparked the murders, then changed his mind. Said it was because BBC rules forbade it, then when the top brass contacted him to say no they don't, go right ahead, he said OK, but I'm still not tweeting them because I'm scared sh*tless. Or words to that effect. The interviewer confirmed later that no such BBC rule or guideline exists.
  18. The transfer window's open, have the skates poached him?
  19. Has Jasper Carrott been mentioned yet? Another comedian who suffers from laugh-at-his-own-jokeitis. And they were usually very weak ones.
  20. Chelsea Millwall would be tasty. I'd watch that.
  21. A few comedians were funnier before they kicked the bottle. I guess Skinner could have been one of them, but he sure as hell isn't funny now. Another one I never really got is Alexei Sayle. He had a few half decent routines back in the day, but as he mentioned himself recently, in the eighties all you had to do to cut it as a comedian was shout something Marxist then call Thatcher a bastard.
  22. Point one; wasn't this thread sposed to be about comedians we find unfunny? Point two; how did we get to page two without a mention of frank skinner?
