I got caught up in this nightmare this morning. Tried to get to hedge end and swanwick for a couple of jobs, gave up after a solid hour of gridlock in every direction. When I went to collect my mrs from work this evening from the south hants, it was still bad. And yes, the glare was dreadful, I'm sure it must have an effect on accident levels. There has definitely been a sea change in attitudes, throughout society in general. My impression is that there is a fair bit of residual bias within people, but that it is no longer acceptable to voice it, or even to be seen not to rail against it. A good illustration of this is sickipedia. A quick browse through the jokes posted there would get most of the posters on this thread up in arms and ready to march on the sites owners. Who, incidentally, happen to be jewish, a minority group who are the target of many jokes on there. Jokes are never removed on grounds of taste, only if they are deemed unfunny by the online community, or potentially damaging to the site owners in a legal sense.

Loan players are healthy for the game, but very unhealthy indeed as its set up now. imho, loans within the same division should not be allowed. It gives the richest clubs yet another trump card, which some of them play routinely and regularly, most notably chelsea.

That's pretty much how I remember it. He was brought in with a specific brief, and he did it. Looking at him now, I would say we dodged a bullet there. I thought at the time he should have been given a chance at the job. Not so sure now.
