  1. Terrific tackle there by harry reed, probably spared us another goal.
  2. Did a great job for us, and that goal against the mancs cements him as a Saints legend. I can still hear the roar around the kingsland when that went in.
  3. I'm at a complete loss to understand why anyone, anywhere has even a passing interest in the political opinions of russell brand.
  4. The UK won't vote to leave the EU. The referendum will have to go ahead now, but it's utterly pointless.
  5. "How was last nights hen party?" I asked my girlfriend. "Terrible," she groaned. "I got so drunk I passed out on the pool table. When I finally came round, some joker had put the triangle round my neck and chalked my nose." "That's not so bad," I chuckled. "No," she sighed. "But then I found the cue."

    Danny Ings

He's anything but a crap player. Not a world beater by any means, but a solid, reliable pro who always seems to produce what's needed when its needed.
  7. I once had a wet dream about patricia hewitt. It doesn't get much gheyer than that.
  8. Is it any worse than the tory press shoving john major back in ahead of kinnockio? "Its the sun wot won it"? Like it or not, anything goes the day before an election. My personal approach is to avoid any political news coverage. Private Eye, Viz and The Onion give me all the information I need to decide on my vote.
  9. I don't like to appear cynical, but...
  10. And in another parallel universe, you are predicting a top 2 finish next season.
  11. I'm still astonished that the FA didn't do more about that incident.
  12. You remember the same as me then. Les Reed gave quite a long interview, part of which was a blunt statement that any enquiries about players would be met with a response of "not for sale." If I wasn't on my phone I'd find the interview, its probably still online somewhere.
  13. I had a parking eye "ticket" a while back, and followed the online advice of writing one letter to state that you dispute the invoice and decline to pay it. Then ignore any subsequent threats, (which will certainly arrive.) After a few letters from them I didn't hear any more about it.
  14. Beat me to it, was about to post exactly that.
  15. This. He lost the plot long ago, when he grabbed that player by the throat. That in itself should have merited a sacking, imho.
  16. I'd agree with that. How many players would have joined us in the lower league days if they hadn't been convinced by the management that the club was serious about a return to the prem? I remember Fonte saying the reason he signed was because it was the quickest way he could see himself getting back to the top division. A stated aim/expectation of making CL within a given timeframe must be a factor for players who might not otherwise sign for us, in much the same way as having Koeman on board is.
  17. Boruc has made it crystal clear that he won't be returning to Saints. I don't understand why posters here keep suggesting it, those bridges got burned to cinders long ago.
  18. errrm... ok. Gotcha.
  19. Any news on Forsters injury? Did I see something mentioned about a return in january?
  20. Les Reed said more or less the same thing before last seasons exodus. The difference now is a top manager who seems committed to his contract, but I'm still fully expecting morgan and clyne to jump ship. Not quite so sure on toby as some on here seem to be; if he'd stayed fit for the duration I'd probably be more convinced that his loan spell was all we'd see of him. Not so sure now tbh.
